Delhi Police Stops Journalists from Entering the Site of Farmer’s Protest

On Tuesday, Delhi Police barred the entry of journalists, reporters and others wanting to visit the protesting farmers.

Farmers have been on protesting at the Singhu border against the Agriculture Laws passed by the Centre in September of 2020.

Earlier, visitors and media personnel were allowed at the protest site via crossing the barricades through the main stage.

Delhi Police has nor barred entry to the protest site from all ends, and all lanes and other entry routes to the protest sites are barricaded.

On Friday, a group of locals clashed with the farmers after they pelted stones and tried to damage tents and other utilities.

The Delhi Police fired tear gas and resorted to lathi charge to control situation.
