Organisers of Party For Pudsey, the BBC Children in Need concert held in Wrexham on 19 November, have confirmed they've managed to sign one of the biggest names in rock to join an already impressive line-up.

Canadian rocker Bryan Adams has agreed to perform at the event, which already boasts Wet Wet Wet, in their first public performance since re-forming; Katherine Jenkins, the fastest-selling classical artist since Maria Callas, whose Second Nature is currently number one in the classical album chart and number 25 in the pop album chart; Lisa Stansfield; Intenso Project featuring Lisa Scott-Lee and Dragonheart.

Noise Next Door are now unable to perform, but they are replaced by singer songwriter Kristian Leontiou.

An audience of 6,000 are expected at the free event in Llwyn Isaf, near the Guildhall, Wrexham.

The television broadcast will be presented by Jason Mohammad and Frances Donovan, while Kevin Hughes and Howard Griffiths will be on hand to introduce the acts on stage and keep spirits high.

With tickets already sold out, people can call the ticket line to leave their names in case of any cancellations on 01978 313 763.

Concert Producer Jonathan Davies says: "This is a real coup for us. We're very excited that Bryan Adams has agreed to play.

"He is a huge international star and is currently touring the world with new material from his album Room Service. This is now a truly impressive line-up."

The concert is co-promoted by BBC Wales and Wrexham County Borough Council with the support of Airbus UK.

It will feature regularly on BBC ONE Wales on the night, with contributions from Wrexham being shown on BBC ONE network - bringing the spirit of the Wrexham event to the rest of the UK.
