Former Speaker W. J. M. Lokubandara has passed away while being treated for COVID-19 at the Infectious Diseases Hospital this evening, family sources said. Mr. Lokubandara entered parliament in 1977. He served as the Speaker of the Parliament from 2004 to 2010 and then the Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province from 2010 to 2015.
