In the distance you can see the popular bank and railway.1 of 30 Changing times. The scene on Sloper Road ahead of a match in the 1950s. The average weekly wage at the time was £6 and a ticket would have set you back 12-and-a-half pence. The average 1950s crowd was 25,0002 of 30 Nothing overly significant about this one but it's another great snap that captures what matchday was like on Sloper Road in 1957 when fans' attire was a little more formal than modern times3 of 30 In 1958, a roof was installed on the famous Bob Bank. Here it is in the early stages of construction.
