The population of the City & County of Swansea.

The current population of the City and County of Swansea now stands at 227,100 (Mid Year Estimate, 2006), representing a rise of some 700 (+0.3%) on the 2005 estimate. Swansea now has the third highest population of the 22 Welsh Unitary Authorities, 7.6% of the total population of Wales (2,965,900).
