The year 1927 is synonymous with Cardiff City Football Club. On April 23rd of that year, the Bluebirds travelled to Wembley to become the first and only side outside of England to win what was then called the "English" Cup, but is now more familiar as the "FA Cup". Their 1-0 victory over Arsenal was no surprise, as the City were one of the biggest clubs in Britain at the time. There now exists a "1927 Cafe", the London-based Cardiff fans are called  "The 1927 Club" and they say that if you find a bank card on the terraces at Ninian

Park, it wouldn't be too difficult to work out the pin number.

South Wales Football Echo 1927- "Men and women, old and young, rent the air with their excited cheers- hats flew in the air and every conceivable coloured streamers were waved violently above their heads."

Fred Keenor - Cardiff City
"I am too excited at the result of the game to say much. I am proud of all my colleagues. They have brought honour to the club and to Wales. I am satisfied."
