Yale Stand:
The main stand is an all seater, fully covered facility. The two tiers which make up the stand provide a capacity of 4,200. There are also hospitality facilities in the stand in the form of the ever popular Centenary Club, which provides spectators with the opportunity to wine and dine on match days before taking up their seats in the Executive Box.

The Kop:
This is currently the oldest part of the stadium and the only non-seated area of the Racecourse. Although currently not in use as development work begins, it did house up to 4,900 home supporters and was known to be the most vocal part of the ground.

Facilities:

Ticket Office: Located in the Club Shop on Mold Road.
Club Shop: Situated on the corner of Mold Road and Crispin Lane.
Refreshments: There is a bar located in the Mold Road Stand, although alcohol is not allowed within sight of the playing surface. Food and drink are available from the many concession booths placed around the ground.

History of the Racecourse:
Wrexham Football Club have played at the Racecourse Ground ever since being formed in September 1872.

There were, however, four seasons in the 1880's when the club played at the Recreation Ground in Rhosddu, due to an increase in rent from the then owners, Wrexham Cricket Club.

Up until the club was formed, the ground was mainly used for cricket and, occasionally, horse racing.

The Stadium has developed immensely since these early days to form what is now regarded as one of the best stadia in the lower divisions.

1952 saw the laying down of concrete terracing on the ever-popular Kop end, which is now the oldest part of the ground.

Five years later was to see the largest ever attendance at the Racecourse, when 34,445 people gathered to witness an FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United.

On 30 September 1959, the Racecourse saw the switching on of the newly installed floodlights, which are said to be the brightest in the Football League.

The Yale Stand was built in 1972 in preparation for the club's first venture into Europe, and also provided new dressing rooms, club offices and entertainment suites.

After promotion to the old Second Division in 1978, the Border Stand was built, taking its name from the local brewery which owned the ground. This part of the ground is now known as the Eric Roberts (Builders) Stand.

The latest addition to the ground was opened in 1999, after grant aid from SportLot, the Welsh Development Agency and the Football Trust, together with generous local sponsorship, allowed for the construction of a new stand on the Mold Road side of the ground. The impressive new structure has a capacity of 3,500 and also contains hospitality and conferencing facilities.

The development also saw the paddock areas of both the Yale and Eric Roberts (Builders) stands become all-seated, bringing the capacity up to 15,500 and thus allowing international football and rugby to once again be played at the Racecourse.

With work begining on the new Wrexham Village scheme, which will see hundreds of student pods built in the Yale Car Park and along the boundary with Crispin Lane, the Kop is currently out of use. As a new all-seater stand is planned to replace the current terraces.
