Hi-5 to perform at Mounties

Kids will have a chance to see Hi-5’s newest members Lachie and Gabe in action when Hi-5 visit Mounties to perform their hottest hits next week.

The Hi-5 songfest on Sunday March 6 will feature crowd favourites such as It’s a Party, Underwater Discovery, and L.O.V.E as well as a visit from the much loved character Sir Buckethead.

“Kids can expect a lot of singing, dancing, partying and having fun with us,” Lachie said.

I feel like we have a different conversation with the kids, it’s more about just inviting them to have fun. - Lachie, Hi-5 member

“It’s a different show every time so it’s always cool to see how the audience reacts.”

Both Lachlan Dearing and Gabriel Brown joined the group at the beginning of the year and had plenty to say about the perks of the job and what makes Hi -5 unique as a group.

“I feel like we have a different conversation with the kids, it’s more about just inviting them to have fun,” Lachie said.

“It’s a really rewarding experience seeing all the kids dancing and singing with us, all the hard work definitely pays off when you see their smiling faces.”

Gabe said: “We try to be big brothers and sisters to the kids and treat them as equals.

“All five of us provide a different energy, there are so many facets to Hi-5 and there’s definitely plenty to look forward to.

“Seeing the children entertained and just having fun if the best part of the job.”

The group is gearing up to end their tour of regional NSW before they begin their tour of Asia.

Hi-5 was launched in Australia in 1998 with five dynamic performers entertaining children aged 2-8 with music, movement, problem solving and play.

More than 15 years later, the children’s musical group is well known around the world with an estimated audience of more than 10 million. They have more than 600 TV episodes, three Logie Awards for Most Outstanding Children’s Program and five ARIA Awards for Best Children’s Album.

The Hi-5 Songfest will be held at Mounties on Sunday March 6 at 11am.
