The band members have recently spent eight weeks in Malaysia filming Hi-5 House Series 3 and are very happy to be back in Australia.

Singer and dancer Stevie Nicholson said Australian tour had been something the whole band had been looking forward to for a long time.

“It’s such a high energy job – all of us are super fit and it’s great to get kids and adults out of their seats and jumping around with us,” said Nicholson.

The Hi-5 band members said they were all excited for the Brisbane show on July 1 2015 and couldn’t wait to see all the kids.

Gold Coast local and band member, Dayen Zheng, is happy to finally be back with friends and family on the Coast.

“It’s so nice to launch our promotional tour here on the Coast and it’s great that my family will be able to attend our Brisbane show,” said Zheng.

The existing band members have been together for two years and even these seasoned performers admit to having slight nerves before each show.

“We do get nervous, but nerves are healthy,” said Zheng.

“We all support each other on stage and it helps that the kids forgive us easily when we make mistakes.”

The band was recently interviewed by Hi-5 veteran, Charli Robinson who now is a

breakfast radio host on Sea FM on the Gold Coast.

“It was great catching up with Charli – we are all like a big family,” said Zheng.

“Hi-5 holds such a beautiful legacy.

“All of the existing cast and previous cast still keep in contact and we are looking forward to welcoming more people into the family in the future.”
