Update: my minis have been in this container and I haven't opened it since this review, and there is no noticeable bending or damage of any kind. Seems to work great 👍It's not horrible but I feel like the spaces for the minis could be a bit bigger, and also deeper. I have lots of figures and I paint them alot. Most people just go out and buy like a tackle box or tool box, which totally works, but I notice after years the paint starts to chip off the metal when there is nothing to hold them neatly in place. With this you can fit a lot of normal sized figures and has lots of padding. You will probably want to use a little glue to hold the padding down on each level though as they move around alot.

I have been painting and collecting metal miniatures since the early 1970s and have found the Chessex line of storage and transport containers to be of the highest quality at reasonable prices.
This latest addition was no exception to the expected Chessex standards.

The foam lining is cut to accomodate larger miniatures and the outer case is very durable -I have similar Chessex cases that I purchased well over a decade ago and they may be dented and worn but they protect my figures as well as they did when brand new.

This product does almost exactly what I needed it to do. It provides lots of space to fit RPG or wargaming mini's. The only problem is its a very tight fit when using reaper mini's (ie. chronoscope)that use round or square stands. The tight fit can cause the mini to bend while in storage. I've had 2 mini's bend to the point where they needed to be refitted on the stands and glued back in. The rest seem to handle it just fine.

This was my sixth case purchase. That should tell you two things. I like this product, and I have way too many miniatures. The price is reasonable. They are very durable, the first one I purchased is in as good a condition as the one I just bought and over two decades have passed since that first purchase. There are better units on the market, but you can't beat the price lifespan and capacity of these. I will no doubt buy more when these reach capacity.
