COVID-19 Certificate In Andorra, a COVID-19 certificate is required in order to enter bars, restaurants, cafés, hotels, tourist accommodation, cases pairals (activity centres for senior citizens), spas, cultural and sporting venues (including museums, libraries, cinemas and gyms), hairdressers’, barbers’, beauty salons, amusement arcades and social care and day centres. You will also need to present the certificate in order to attend outdoor events with more than 1,000 people. A COVID-19 passport must also be presented in all of Andorra’s skiing areas: this applies to all those taking part in a sporting activity (including downhill skiing, snowshoeing and other activities) as well as those wishing to enter ski lifts, restaurants and enclosed spaces. Under-16s are exempt from the requirement to present a COVID-19 certificate to enter venues; however, they must follow all of the preventive measures, such wearing a face mask indoors. Travel between Spain and France In the case of Spain, travel across the Spain-Andorra border is allowed for both entering and leaving the country and visitors do not need to present a certificate. Transit is free. A COVID-19 certificate does not have to be presented in order to enter Andorra from France. To travel to France across the Baladrà border, however, everyone aged 12 and over must present a health passport proving that they are fully vaccinated, or a COVID-19 recovery certificate. If an individual does not have either of these documents, they must present proof of a negative test result (with the test having been taken within the 24 hours prior to their arrival). An antigen test can also be taken on arrival. These requirements do not apply to road travel by transportation professionals, journeys of under 24 hours to Ariège and Pyrénées-Orientales, nor to trips undertaken for professional reasons when the urgency or duration of such a trip is incompatible with taking a diagnostic or screening test. Before travelling, we recommend that you check measures for both the country of origin and destination. |
