When love blooms in Section 114, it is a time for rejoicing

NBA: Playoffs-Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Pauline Nicole Banzon and her beau, Jonathon De Pario, joined the Brooklyn Brigade in the group’s first year. Now, some wins, some losses later, they have another tie that binds. On Thursday, they were married ... in a very unique way.

This one didn’t make the Times wedding announcements (although it should have!) but we at NetsDaily can report the bride wore Kevin Durant, the groom Kyrie Irving ... in matching black-and-white. The reception was held amidst the stacks at the Brooklyn Historical Society.

We plead ignorance on whether the couple’s wedding registry was the Nets Swag Shoppe. Would make sense, though.

In comments to this story, Pauline credited the Brigade with helping foster their relationship and those others who gather in Section 114...

We met great folks and became really good friends with a lot of them. They helped us got through some tough times on and off court. The Brigade saw how our relationship grew (we are known as “The Lovebirds” of the group lol) and Jon and I saw how everyone’s lives have changed over the years, from the young bloods graduating from college and entering the work force, to folks getting married and starting their own families, to fathers whose children are growing right in front of our eyes.

Getting married in Brooklyn and giving homage to the team is our way of saying thanks for being a part of our history. We made great friends and memories from supporting the Brooklyn Nets. Having the Brigade at our celebration meant so much to us and made our event extra special. We love you all!

And among the well-wishers Saturday morning...

Add our best wishes to the happy couple, their family, their friends and of course the Brigade. Spread love, it’s the Brooklyn way!
