From Dubai’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to The King and Queen of Jordan, royalty from the MENA region have travelled to London to honour the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch of the United Kingdom, will be laid to rest today after lying in state at Westminster Hall.

Her Majesty passed away on September 8, with an official announcement from Buckingham Palace confirming the news; she was 96 years old.

In the wake of her passing, an emotional outpouring of love and support for the British royal family – including King Charles – has emerged, with people around the world honouring the reign of Her Majesty and her devotion to service.

Arab royals from across the region are no different. Since her passing was announced, many royals from the region have shared messages of condolences and today many will attend her funeral to pay their respects.

The Emir of Qatar and his wife arrived at Buckingham Palace to attend the state reception ahead of the funeral.

His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait and the representative of the Prince of Kuwait paid his respects at the state reception.

His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan

The King and Queen of Jordan attended the state reception hosted for world leaders and guests from overseas hosted by King Charles. Her Majesty Queen Rania also shared a glimpse of her official visits and interviews in London ahead of the event on her Instagram page.
