==================================================================
REQUIREMENTS
==================================================================

Dell software: Dell OpenManage Server Agent 4.2.0/4.3.0

Operating system:	Red Hat Linux 7.0

================================================
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEMS CORRECTED IN THIS UPDATE
================================================

---------------
POWEREDGE 350
---------------

This update addresses the following issues for the Dell PowerEdge 350:

* Changes thresholds for the -12 volt (V) voltage probe on the
  system board. These new thresholds prevent erroneous probe failures
  and warnings.

* Corrects erroneous fan failure reports in the event log.

* Corrects system crashes at startup caused by incorrect event log
  record length.

* Disables the chassis identification feature.

----------------------------------
POWERVAULT 2XXS SCSI DISK SYSTEM
----------------------------------

This update allows Dell PowerEdge systems attached to the
Dell PowerVault 2xxS SCSI disk system to respond to simple
network management protocol (SNMP) requests for information.
Under certain rare circumstances, some Dell systems
with PowerVault 2xxS attached were not responding to SNMP
requests.

---------------------------------------------------------
POWEREDGE 1550 REPORTING ERRORONOUS POWER SUPPLY FAN RPM
---------------------------------------------------------

This update fixes the erroneous revolutions per minute (RPM)
readings for the PowerEdge 1550 power supply fan.

==================================================================
INSTALLING AND UNINSTALLING THE UPDATE
==================================================================

NOTE: This update installs using a shell script (omsaliu2.sh).
If the Dell OpenManage Server Agent is running on your
system when you run the update shell script, the script stops the
Dell OpenManage Server Agent. After the script completes the update, it
restarts the Dell OpenManage Server Agent if the agent was running
before you executed the update script.

1. Log in as root.

2. Change to the directory that contains the update.
   The directory should be the same directory that contains this readme
   file.

3. To run the update, type:

   ./omsaliu2.sh

The update installation script displays a message stating whether the
update installed successfully.
