Inside Warby Parker's Holiday Spectacle Bazaar on Grand Street

There are few things in this world that top a $50 eye exam and glasses (with lenses) for $95, but the Warby Parker Holiday Spectacle Bazaar has managed to wrangle in more than just that. As we reported last week, the pop-up shop (which opened on Friday) also includes McSweeney's books and magazines, and hats from Yestadt Millinery. You can also buy a yurt, if you want, and if you have about $10,000 to spare.

When we stopped by last night, we found even more happening inside the revamped garage at 45 Grand Street. First off: There's candy and treats from Papabubble, and illustrator Jason Polan will draw you what you want for Christmas, just in case getting a new car isn't in the cards this year. There's also a photo booth set up with a paint-by-numbers backdrop of deer in the snow next to the Yeastadt Millinery post, so you can wear your new hat in the picture. If you're looking for holiday cards that aren't boring, The Arm is on hand to legit letterpress one for you. Our favorites read "Enjoy This Cash" and "From Our Messed Up Family to Yours."

There's also a set of bikes on display, each with a tray of glasses. They'll be traveling to Art Basel soon, so if you're headed to Miami, you can buy Warby Parker specs straight off the bike, with the help of an iPad.

Whether you're be celebrating Christmas or Hanukkah, there's a little something for everyone. Like we mentioned before, you can buy yourself a Christmas tree (or learn how to chop down your own) and the proceeds will benefit The Delancey Street Foundation. And in about two weeks, there will be a Dreidel-Off, which is exactly what it sounds like. So you don't forget it, Warby Parker's mission statement is displayed toward the back: For every pair of glasses purchases, a pair goes to someone in need—with the photos to prove it.
