My other low price pitchers (insert big name) kept breaking. Or they were hard to clean because of the hinges, etc. I know that this is not a high end alternative that probably leaches out more chemicals. I will say that it's fast, the water looks beautifully clear and tastes good (we live in an area with a lot of lime, calcium cloudiness, etc) and it is a good value. I will buy one again. I use it with the Amazon basics filters. Perfect.

Water tastes exactly as drinking out of a Brita water pitcher. I have a friend who has brita & compared both.
You can use same brita replacement filters (generics), which makes it super affordable as well.
One thing I loved from this pitcher (that Brita's pitcher doesn't have)was the covering from where you pour the water but when taking the lid off it would somehow (almost always) snap off. Its easy to snap on but eventually it broke & finding a replacement for such a small item has become a frustrating nightmare. I've looked everywhere to no avail.

I live in a city with very hard water and even after a softener system, filtration is a must, I have used Zero Water but that is way to expensive and the filters do not last long. Brita works but is cost prohibitive with the filters to a point. These are a great alternative, they fit well in the pitchers, have the same weight as a Brita filter so I assume that means the same amount of material inside, do not need presoaking, and the water noticeably tasted cleaner than a new Brita filter. Time will tell how long they last but so far I am impressed, and the price is great.
