The Brita Ultraslim Dispenser is our largest capacity dispenser with a space efficient design that fits in most fridges. The water dispenser with filter holds 25 cups (1.56 gallons), which makes it great for larger households and means fewer trips to the sink. The dispenser filters as you pour reducing chlorine (taste and odor) and more. The Brita Ultraslim Dispenser uses SmartLight Filter Indicator technology, to make it easy to know when to change your filter. The LED sensor glows every time you dispense water-green means your filter is good and when the indicator flashes red its time to replace your water filter. For cleaner, great-tasting water, the Brita filter should be changed every 40 gallons, about 2 months for the average household, for best results. PROS: It’s very slim and fits into smaller refrigerators.It has a light that tells you if the filter is working or not which is nice.CONS: The one design flaw is that it has a large housing around the spout and there’s no way to know if your bottle of water with a narrow neck is directly underneath it unless you get down on your knees and turn your head upside down which is largely inconvenient. Not a big deal if you’re filling up a glass but if you’re filling up a bottle with a narrow neck, I never know where to put the opening of my water bottle underneath the water spout housing, and I usually end up making a huge mess. iMy previous Brita water filter had a spout and housing that was smaller. All they really needed to do was to make the spout maybe a half a centimeter longer then the housing so at least you could use that as a guide. See photos.

I love this water filter & dispenser. It was time to replace our old Brita pitcher (it was getting hard to find the filters) and honestly I was sick of refilling it 2-3x a day. I was a little worried about the size, but it actually takes up less real estate in the fridge than our old pitcher, as it sits nice and flat against the side. It dispenses water at a good speed, and just slows down a little as it gets low. We did notice that it was leaking after use at first, but quickly discovered that if you gently press the nozzle lever forward after dispensing water it doesn't leak at all. I love that I only need to refill it a few times a week instead of several times a day and my 4yr loves being able to get his own water as it's really easy to use. We've had it for about 2 months and we're very happy so far!

I love this Brita- I upgraded from a previous version of the dispenser. This was the perfect upgrade- it takes up less room in the fridge but holds even more water. I also love how the filter is at the bottom so I don't have to wait for the water to filter as I fill it. Water is fresh and tastes good. The one thing I will say is that it's a bit hard to press down on when dispensing the water. I have to continuously hold it down to fill my water bottle, which isn't too big of a deal but does get tiring since I use this to fill a large bottle. I would say if you have joint issues or hand injury it may be difficult for you to hold it down. Maybe I'm not using it right. Otherwise great!

So this is my 2nd review. I have purchased 2 of these. The first one, I have zero problems with it, that was my first review. The second one leaks water all over my refrigerator. I thought that perhaps I had not put the spout part in correctly, but I'm not doing anything different with this one than the other pitcher. I'm not sure what the problem is, don't know when it will decide to leak. I have resorted to placing a bowl under the spout to catch the water. I am extremely disappointed with the second pitcher.

I bought it 10 months ago and I like that I don’t need to wait for the water to filter in before pouring, and the first 60% of the water comes out pretty quick (but it slows gradually to a trickle as the level gets low). The size and shape is really nice because I don’t have to fill it that much but it also doesn’t take up a lot of room in my fridge.

Edit: I originally said that it had started to leak from the spout after 10 months. I pulled out the spout, flushed it with water without the filter, and wiped it thoroughly with a paper towel and made sure the O-ring was seated correctly, then reinstalled everything and it has stopped leaking. So I would recommend keeping it somewhere where if it leaks it won’t be a huge pain to clean up, but the leaking is likely fixable through cleaning/reseating the filter/spout.

Also if the price is over $50, wait for it to come in stock from a legitimate seller or look for other listings, because those are scalpers selling it really overpriced.

If you buy this product, congratulations - you will have acquired the acme of great-tasting water dispensers!

I'm an architect and so I can greatly appreciate successful engineering, however, the designers at Brita took it a step further and, literally, thought outside the proverbial box and created something truly new and appreciable. You'll notice it immediately, especially if you've owned their previous large capacity model.

The new Brita container is much narrower and has greater depth, thus, occupying a sliver of precious refrigerator shelf space. An ingenious new filter location - just behind the spigot - totally eliminates the separate water basin, rendering the entire container's interior fillable. A green/red LED light band on the spigot, now indicates when to replace the filter. (No more date stickers)! And the tedious water pouring process - bringing the container forward to avoid its upward-swinging lid from hitting the refrigerator shelf above - is now replaced with a horizontally sliding lid closure and a vertical handle up front, thereby, greatly reducing the container's advance forward from the refrigerator. Kudos. Brilliant.

The pièce de résistance, however, is - despite all this re-engineering and shape-shifting - the Brita team was able to increase the water capacity of the new container by 5 cups!!! (Picture the design team being asked to come up with a better product and then seeing the smiles on the executives' faces when they did)!

To make a short story long (as I just did): "Get it. You won't regret it!" And congratulations to the entire team at Brita. I don't know you, but as a design practitioner, I admire what you've accomplished. You really hit the ball outta the park!

Los primeros 2 meses todo iba bien, funcionaba tal y como se esperaba, pero al muy poco tiempo de uso ya no cierra bien y comienza a gotear al punto de vaciarse completamente en unas pocas horas, desafortunadamente esto paso despues del periodo de 30 días asi que ya no la puedo devolver y no veo como se pueda arreglar, una total decepción

Now 6 months later the spigot us dripping. What a mess! Filled my fridge with water overnight. I am only 1 user, no kids to misuse it. Very light wear and now this? Expensive and annoyed! Stand by for return experience before you invest in this piece if junk

Love the size and skinny profile. I am on well Water and this filter is doing a good job of giving clean good tasting water

We have slowly bought and upgraded Brita water containers over the years. My husband and I only drink water, and so we drink a lot of it. No matter what size of Brita pitcher we bought for our fridge, we were refilling it about twice per day or more.

We bought two of these in the hopes of always having cold, filtered water accessible and so far I have been very impressed! Simply looking at the containers I was skeptical as they did not look amazingly large, but by the time I filled it I realized it was holding a LOT of water. I noticed this even more the first time I filled up two large glasses and a 1 liter bottle and the water level had not went down to even a quarter of the way empty.

As a warning, be sure to measure your fridge before purchasing this container as it is quite tall and long. It would be a bummer to receive it, realize it does not fit in your fridge, and have to return it.

We've had ours now for about a month and it's been doing really well. The filter is easy to insert, and though the green light is pretty much just a gimmick it's still pretty cool.
Doesn't take up much space in the fridge, which is great, and because there's no top filter area there's no wasted capacity.
Haven't had any leakage as yet, though if you don't pull it out far enough before pouring it will hit the shelf it's on...no fault of the product.
It has turned out to be exactly what we wanted, my only gripe is the price.

Unless I change the filter every two weeks, the pitcher leaks. For those that can place beside sink, etc. not a problem I guess but I prefer to have cold water and place in fridge. Routinely leaks after about a week and a half. Have to switch to PUR for now.
