  • EDI (2012-2013)

    To have a better integration with our customers and sales representatives, the Decorative Paintings department needed a solution to integrate whatever our customers had as electronic export of their orders into our systems. An internet portal was created to let the customers send their orders, and also a standardized excel spreadsheet was given to our sales representatives so they can log into a portal and create the orders automatically.

  • ONE SAP centralization project (2011 - 2012)

    -

    This was a major project for the company worldwide, that had the objective of the total centralization of all the SAP instances the company had, into a single system. The project also aimed to harmonize its main processes like O2C, B2R, etc, rebuilding all previous existing integrations under strict architectural conditions, that required to migrate our old systems and adequate some of our process to the new standards.
    Role: Software Factory coordinator. Technologies: ABAP, Flex, .Net, PI…

  • AFIP integration B (2012)

    Our electronic invoice system was migrated to a full SAP solution, when SAP provided the OSS notes for EI in Argentina.

  • Cognis integration (2010)

    The company acquired Cognis worldwide, and our role was to implement and migrate every process and system they had into our SAP system.

  • AFIP integration A (2009 - 2010)

    When the Argentinian government defined that Electronic Invoice was mandatory for BASF, we implemented a customized solution from a third party vendor in our system in order to integrate our SD module with SAP.
    Role: Technical Leader. Technologies: ABAP, Unix.

  • CIBA integration (2009)

    The company acquired CIBA worldwide, and our role was to implement and migrate every process and system they had into our SAP system.

  • Construction Chemicals prices load workflow for Brazil (2009)

    The load of prices in SAP was a key process for Construction Chemicals department in Brazil, so our team developed an approval workflow reusing the same architecture we used to build the Credit and Debit Memos approval system, but with a SAP Portal front end in this case. The goal was to have a chain of approvers depending on product characteristics and load that price list directly into SD module.

  • Personnel request workflow site (2009)

    As the hiring process inside the HHRR department started to gain importance, a workflow process was designed in order to coordinate HHRR’s internal tasks and other services department’s tasks and manager’s approvals together under a single system. A custom SAP based system was developed under the previous architecture of workflows done for Credit and Debit Memos. (SOA and Blackberry app)

  • Datawarehouse - (1999)

    -

    The goal of this project was to migrate previous Database project to SAP as the source system and Oracle databases for the reporting environment. OLAP and star schemas were implemented, migrating the old migration control process to Pro-C under a HP-UX environment. As an internal development, a program to automatically generate source code for SAP database extraction was created in ABAP.

  • Blackberry app development for approvals in SAP (2008)

    Thanks to the SOA architecture we chose for our SAP Credit and Debit memos approval, the same webservices were used to create a Blackberry front end to let the managers approve from their smartphones the documents created in SAP. For the blackberry development tasks we hired a third party company specialized on mobile development.

  • CAT Relocation (2005)

    As the hardware of our SAP systems where located in the US, a centralization project was started in Germany (BASF HQ) to bring all SAP servers under the same operations center physically. A team was assembled to analyze and assist the German team with the impacts and risks of our servers, and to oversee the project execution.
    Role: Southamerica’s representation, assigned one of my team members to the project and monitored his performance.

  • IS Applications shared service center creation and localization project (2004)

    When BAIN consulting identified the possibility to achieve a 25% savings implementing a shared service center for IS applications support, a team was assembled with the purpose of identifying the country where that SSC would be implemented, and defining the structure and processes needed to be implemented to provide Applications support and enhancements for SAP Modules and Other technologies developments. That team had one representative from each candidate country, Chile, Brazil and…

    When BAIN consulting identified the possibility to achieve a 25% savings implementing a shared service center for IS applications support, a team was assembled with the purpose of identifying the country where that SSC would be implemented, and defining the structure and processes needed to be implemented to provide Applications support and enhancements for SAP Modules and Other technologies developments. That team had one representative from each candidate country, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.
    The SSC was implemented in Argentina later 2004, and the project was a successful business case when the support operational costs were controlled 2 years later.

  • E-Commerce project (2003)

    The first E-Commerce project was assigned to me, being SPOC for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, to guide the business units into electronic commerce initiatives. Using already available global systems, and developing new tailored ones, we achieved about 10 Mi USD sales done electronically that year.

  • Flash based management KPIs report (2003)

    Some of the most important KPIs like Sales, Inventories and Accounts receivable information started to be posted on a Flash site that consumed webservices created in Oracle databases in order to publish charts and reports for the management.

  • Cyanamid integration (2002)

    Worldwide, BASF bought American Home Cyanamid, and our involvement was to integrate their operations in Argentina with our Agrochemical business unit, not only in SAP, but also merging the operations of custom developed systems they had implemented on warehouses across the country.

  • SAP Implementation in Paraguay and BASF Poliuretanos (2001) and Chile (2002)

    Same as the SAP Upgrade, I had to coordinate the team’s resources during the different project phases.
    Also the expansion of the previously created application to these new companies was conducted, focusing mainly on the Datawarehouse project.

  • SAP Upgrade (2001)

    The second upgrade made to SAP, from 4.5 to 4.6, was done in 2001, and I was assigned to lead the SAP ABAP development team. I had to coordinate the team’s resources during the different project phases. Role: Technical leader. Technologies: ABAP, Unix.

  • Auctions site (2000)

    When the company started to auction their cars internally among the employees, an auction site was created in order to let the employees login into the system and bid for any asset published on the site.
    Role: Technical leader. Technologies: Oracle, Unix.

  • Intranet (2000)

    e beginning of the intranet in the company, a custom made CMS system was created using Oracle databases to store the content and separate it from the image design patterns. This architecture lead to save costs on the migration of the site’s image that the company made during the next 5 years. Also, this architecture was replicated to every area that wanted to publish content inside the intranet with their own respective domains.

  • Database project - (1996)

    -

    This project was done to integrate Foxpro databases with Mainframe data exported every day from several areas of the Mainframe system, like Sales, Inventory and Accounts receivable information. A full scale migration control process was created along with multiple reports for the users.

  • Negotiation tool for agricultural products business unit (2010)

    -

    The Agricultural department needed for its sales force a system to let them access some marketing
    campaign, make calculations for benefits with their clients and directly create an order into the SAP system. So we migrated a previously Brazilian development into a multi company system to allow its implementation in Argentina.
