Wir meinen unsere neue Werbekampagne “Neighbourfood”, mit Wortwitzen als Kombination von Namen lokaler Ortsteile und Lebensmitteln aus unserem Sortiment. Als kleine Erinnerung daran, dass wir gerne und schnell Lebensmittel zu unseren Kunden nach Hause liefern. Wo auch immer sie in Köln oder Düsseldorf sind. (Und egal in welchem Zustand) ----- “Helau” and “Alaaf”! Guess who’s out bringing joy to the streets of Cologne and Düsseldorf? Erm, no, we don't mean the millions of people partying at Karneval. We mean our puntastic OOH campaign “Neighborfood”, which plays on the cities’ neighborhoods to remind everyone that we deliver speedy groceries in Cologne and Dusseldorf,  wherever our customers are (and in whatever state of mind they’re in).

Some say puns have no place in advertising. To that, we say “Hold my Kreuzbeer” Our “Neighborfood” out-of-home and digital media campaign livened up the streets and screens of Berlin this winter. From the brand that was born in … well, take a guess?

🚀 Big move in the grocery delivery scene! Getir, leader in lightning-fast deliveries, has successfully acquired FreshDirect in NYC from Ahold Delhaize, the East Coast's largest grocery retail group. 🛍️ Operating across Turkey, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, and the US, this marks Getir's fifth strategic acquisition, following its recent €1.2 billion deal with Gorillas 💰 While the specific amount spent on FreshDirect remains undisclosed, it's expected to be substantial given FreshDirect's previous $280 million funding. Getir's valuation, once at $11.8 billion, reportedly saw a significant drop to $2.5 billion in a recent report. 🌎 The acquisition underscores Getir's determined expansion in North America, putting it in direct competition with established players like Instacart and DoorDash both well-funded giants in the sector. 📉 Acknowledging the evolving market dynamics, 2022 witnessed a 68% decrease in investment in delivery startups compared to the previous year. Getir itself went through a global staff reduction of 14% in May and withdrew from Italy, Spain, and Portugal in July. 🍽️ FreshDirect, now under Getir's umbrella, plans to leverage its new owner's technology and operational expertise to enhance its services. This move aims to elevate the quality and variety of products offered, particularly fresh items, making it more appealing to its New York customer base! 🌐🍎
