I recently bought a new Blu ray player, and my television didn't have enough HDMI ports so I bought this 3-in-1 switch. It was very easy to set up, and in minutes, I had my cable box and Blu ray player ready. I had no problems during set up, and the switch has operated perfectly since I got it. I like the small remote that came with it even though I don't really use it that often. Even if the remote isn't handy, there is a button on the top of the switch box that will let you cycle through the ports that are in use. This was a worthwhile purchase for an affordable price.

A great deal with a couple of annoyances

It's hard not to give this a good review based on the price, the nice metal enclosure, and the convenience it provides if you need to switch between multiple HDMI devices.

I bought this because I'm spending 6 months in a rental while my nice AV receiver sits in a moving POD so I wanted a quick and easy solution for switching between the rental's cable box, my DVD player, and my Apple TV. This does exactly what I need for a very reasonable price. 5-stars so far.

My only complaints:
1. An extremely plain, utilitarian remote that's made of EXTREMELY cheap plastic. It probably weighs a half-ounce. It works fine... just looks really cheesy, and make sure you don't sit on it or abuse it.
2. The power cable (does not come with a USB power supply) is very short... maybe 2.5 feet. It REALLY limited where I could put it and I had to do a frustrating balancing act with my power strip in order to get it to fit. I have longer cables, but, like I said, I'm in a rental and now I'm probably going to have to go buy a longer version of the cable even though I have dozens of them in storage. I also don't understand AT ALL why they put the power cord on the front of the unit! I chose this one because ALL the HDMI connectors (3-in, 1-out) were on the back, so they wouldn't look ugly hanging out the sides or front, but now I have this ugly (and too short) power cable hanging out the front. Why?

In summary: great product with a couple of annoyances made to save a few pennies.

Replaced a different brand that required a unique power cable and didn't work w/o a power source

PROS (vs. other competitors):
- Power not required to operate
- Power is a micro-usb, so the cable is easily replaceable
- IR Receiver is built in, so no extra cables
- Remote has fairly large buttons that stick up out of the remote
- Remote has hefty enough size so it shouldn't be accidentally thrown away
- Auto-switches like a champ, but has manual buttons on the top as well
- All HDMI cables are on one side of the device

CONS (well not a big deal):
- Power cable is on the opposite side of the HDMI input/outputs, not the same side.
- Remote is a little lighter than I'd like, but I don't really need to use it.

Had another brand that lasted 1 - 1.5 years which came with a non-standard, very short, usb charging cable [input side was a round power plug] that eventually shorted so I couldn't just replace it with a cable from my box of old cables. Remote was so light and small it accidentally fell into a trash can & was tossed. Not only required power to operate, it had an IR Receiver cable for that remote that had to be plugged in to work.

BOTTOM LINE:
This brand / model seems to correct all of the other brand's flaws so well I hardly even notice that it's plugged in doing it's thing. Kudos for thinking through annoying issues.

Only recommendation: maybe make a remote that uses a AA or AAA battery to give the remote more weight. The large buttons do help prevent it from getting lost too easily.

If you are using a gaming console like a PS5, it is very unstable e.g. screen flickers and the data transmissions gets interrupted. I am going to return this product and try another. Also doesn't work using an HDMI-Arc sound connection; you'll need to connect your sound bar directly to your TV via HDM-Arc.

Didn't seem to have a problem with the AppleTV. This product might work for you, just didn't for me.

I have two consoles and a firestick plugged into this switcher and it works exactly like it's supposed to. Picture quality is what I expected, and there is not noticeable lag.

Pros: I have 3 devices hooked up and only have to use 1 HDMI port. No issues with picture or sound, great for the price!

The cons: The Remote seems a little dodgy, has to be at just the right angle for it to work. Just to note, You have to have the front of the unit facing outward toward where you'll be sitting for it to work correctly as well.

You can not switch to a channel unless the device plugged into that channel is turned on. I thought my remote was broken but then turned the device on and was able to switch it over.

Overall, good product.

Beim Einschalten schält er automatisch auf den jeweiligen Kanal. Habe die Stromversorgung noch eingesteckt; Mal sehen wie lange das so funktioniert.
