In honor of Public Service Recognition Week, we'd like to spotlight a team from the Office of the Secretary (OS). The team consists of the supervisors of the HVAC, Electric, and Plumbing Shops within the Building Management Division, Office of Facilities and Environmental Quality. Together, Jeremy Cassell, Malik Prescott, and Michael Kirschner lead the efforts to ensure our facility is running in tip-top shape! Often, the work of our colleagues in the Building Management Division goes unnoticed, as it happens behind the scenes. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on their tireless efforts and express our heartfelt appreciation for all that they do! The supervisors of the HVAC, Electric, and Plumbing Shops are committed to ensuring a safe and operational facility, demonstrating their dedication to public service. Warren Livengood is a Supervisory General Engineer in the Office of Management Resources, Office of Facilities and Property Management. The OFPM is responsible for facility activities and services. This includes space and real property management, facilities planning, building system operation, maintenance and repair, utility distribution services, grounds maintenance, and janitorial services. Warren helps implement and manage various OFPM projects critical to facility safety and compliance. Warren's commitment to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment is a shining example for all of us! Let's shout out Warren for making #GovPossible a reality! 😄

#NEWS: Today, the Biden-Harris Administration issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) seeking proposals from eligible applicants for activities to establish and operate a CHIPS Manufacturing USA institute focused on digital twins for the semiconductor industry. Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the CHIPS Women in Construction Framework, a set of five best practices, as well as the first voluntary commitments to the Framework from Intel Corporation and Micron Technology. The Framework is part of U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo’s ongoing Million Women in Construction initiative that aims to expand the American construction workforce by doubling the number of women in construction over the next decade. https://lnkd.in/gAF8v8w2
