These are very handy to monitor various areas of my home for humidity for my house plants and they do seem to be as accurate as any other hygrometer. However when you look at the display all you see is 88 unless your eyes are directly in front of the display. So in order to see the number the unit has to be placed on a surface at exactly eye level or you have to pick it up to look at it. It's annoying and I'll eventually replace these with different hygrometers. For now, these will do.

I use these in my cure jars, and they work pretty well. The RH & temps may be off a little between each but nothing that will cause a problem. I do find the batteries only last about a year, but they did send 4 extra batteries, enough to replace two of them. My tip for these is remove the batteries if not using for a while but be super careful not to break the ears on the cover.
