Zelenskyy Office official drives new Porsche car owned by businessman, investigation shows

According to the journalists’ investigation, the car was purchased on June 8, 2022. On June 25, it was recorded by CCTV cameras outside Kyiv on the way to a town where Ukrainian oligarchs live.

The car itself is owned by Novem Logistics LLC registered at 16a Parkova Doroha Street in Kyiv. The Parkovyi Congress and Exhibition Center, where the Servant of the People Party regularly held meetings before the start of the war, is located at this address. Vemir Davitian is the company’s sole owner. According to Ukrainska Pravda, he is called an informal supervisor from the authorities of Zaporizhzhya Oblast.

In the summer, mainly on weekends, Tymoshenko himself was behind the wheel of the car, which was recorded by CCTV cameras. A special pass for the curfew period issued by the Kyiv City State Administration was seen on the car’s windshield.

In a comment to the newspaper, Tymoshenko said that he is not the owner of the car, and he used it only three-four times and returned it to the owner, Davitian, a few months ago.

However, records from CCTV cameras show that he drove the car at least twice as many times as he said.

At the same time, Tymoshenko not only drove an expensive car, but also rents a mansion of almost 1,200 square meters with its own access to the water reservoir. The house belongs to the owner of a large construction business, Ihor Nikonov.

Tymoshenko explained that he rents this house for security reasons, since his own house is located in a dangerous place, given the regular missile strikes. He also showed a lease dated July this year.

According to the document, Tymoshenko rents the house for UAH 230,000 (about $6,000) per month. Meanwhile, experts say rents for this type of real estate in this cottage town are from $10,000 to $25,000 per month.

Tymoshenko is a state supervisor of the construction sector, to which Nikonov’s business is related. Asked about a possible conflict of interests, Tymoshenko answered that Nikonov does not participate in state projects.

A few weeks after Tymoshenko’s statement, Nikonov’s construction company reported that two residential districts of KAN Development had joined the eOselia (There is housing) state program, a subsidized housing mortgage.

Journalists say they are not aware of whether Tymoshenko had any influence on Nikonov’s company joining the state preferential lending program.

Tymoshenko also said that his and his family’s financial situation allows him to rent such a mansion, as well as buy a Porsche car if necessary. This is confirmed by his latest income declarations.

Commenting on the journalists’ investigation, Censor.net chief editor Yuriy Butusov wrote on Facebook that Davitian, who gave the car to Tymoshenko, is known as a partner of Oleksandr “Narik” Petrovskyi, a local criminal in the city of Dnipro. In addition, Davitian is also a close friend of David Arakhamia, the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.

“That is, Davitian, a person with unknown business sources, gives a new luxury car to one of the heads of state, close to President Zelenskyy, for use during the war,” Butusov said.

“And Davitian also constantly deals with the interests of the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.”

The journalist called the mansion, which Tymoshenko rents, “an elite Invincibility Center.”

“Even if we assume that Nikonov gave his residence for living for one official for such a fee, which is a lot for an official, but small for the rent of such a villa, how much does it cost to maintain such a house now?” Butusov said.

“What are the utility bills? How many people are needed to maintain such an estate and what are their salaries? How many hours a day does this house have blackouts?”

He also noted there had been no response from Ukrainian top authorities to the journalists’ investigation.

“According to our information, the only investigation initiated by Zelenskyy is where the Ukrainska Pravda’s journalists got photos of Tymoshenko’s car, and some police officer has already been interrogated on this issue,” Butusov said.

“It’s probably (because it’s thought) that it’s not a shame to live like that, but a shame that people found out about it.”
