A monument to officials of special task forces and rescuers of the Emergency Ministry killed during hostage release in September 2004, has been unveiled on Beslan cemetery.
The sculpture represents a body armour standing on a school book and protecting a child toy. A helmet of special task soldiers is lying near-by.
10 soldiers of "Alpha" and "Vympel" special units and 2 rescuers of the Russian Emergency Ministry died during forced storm of the captured Beslan school N 1 on September 3, 2004.
