A reference website from Answers Corporation, St. Louis, MO. Answers originally aggregated dictionary and encyclopedia content from more than 100 sources. At one time, Answers also maintained a complete copy of Wikipedia, and in the technology arena, it featured this encyclopedia. Later, Answers became a user-generated question & answer site.

Founded as GuruNet in 1999 by Bob Rosenschein, Mark Tebbe and Mort Meyerson, GuruNet was later renamed Atomica, then GuruNet once again and finally Answers.com in 2005. A year later it acquired a user-generated question & answer site that it renamed WikiAnswers, and the wiki function was integrated into Answers.com in 2009. In 2017, the company filed for Chapter 11. A year later, the site was changed to no longer accept contributions and edits from the user community; however, the millions of existing questions and answers remained online. See wiki.
