Wimbledon were due to end their groundshare with Crystal Palace at the end of the last campaign and relocate to Milton Keynes, but those plans collapsed when they went into administration and an agreement with the National Hockey Foundation to play at the Hockey Stadium fell through.

The administrators then confirmed it was the club's intention to return to Selhurst Park.

But confusion increased on Monday when Watford announced they had rejected a proposal to share Vicarage Road with the Dons.

The Football League are now seeking information about the club's plans because if Wimbledon wish to groundshare with somebody else they would need the League's permission. They currently only have permission to play in Milton Keynes or at Selhurst Park.
