Customers are mixed about the battery life of the cellular phone. Some mention that it has been improved by a much better battery, more installed RAM, and a power saving mode. The 8 megapixel camera is excellent (3D panorama mode ftw!) and the whole design is stunning.
Downloaded a ton of apps and games on this phone and although there is some lag, it's rare. 16GB storage is actually 11GB but that's well enough for me.
PROS:
-Sexy design :)
-Good camera
-Nice easy-to-hold 4" screen
-100% Brightness is REALLY bright!
-Good call quality
-Fast charger; around 2 hour charge for 100%
-Battery is OK but it has been improved by recent updates (I can now use my phone for the whole day and charge it overnight)
-Now upgradable to Jelly Bean 4.1
CONS:
-Front camera is VGA but at least there is one
-Transparent strip can only light up in white and it doesn't look as good or bright as Xperia S\U's
-Aluminium can chip off so it'd be a good idea to buy a case/cover
-Bottom part is made out of plastic but you can't really tell unless you touch it
CONCLUSION:
Although it's not the best smartphone out in the market right now in terms of specs, it's definitely worth the price it is now. All in all, I recommend this phone if you want an all around good value mid-ranged smartphone. If you'd rather get the latest smartphone with quadcore and a massive screen, then ignore this.
The's processor is capable for most tasks, it's GPU is perhaps not as strong, but it's still good for all but the most demanding games and apps.
It's display is gorgeous.
Bright and sharp; but the brightness is met with a trade off of poorer colour reproduction; over all though I am impressed with it.
The battery, unfortunately has too small a capacity.
It's power saving features must be taken full advantage of to achieve a passable standby battery life.
Only five hours can be expected from a full charge with heavy use of the phone.(gaming/videos)
The camera is a very capable 8MP snapper producing good quality images above par for most phones.
HD video capture is passable.
Externally, the phone has a premium look an feel which Sony is only just starting to match again.
It's comfortable to hold and suitable for one hand use.
I would still recommend this phone even with it's weaknesses, which primarily is battery life.
If you can live with a short battery life, you can't go wrong with this midrange phone.
If the battery issue is not acceptable, I would recommend either the Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini or, if you're willing to pay more, the Motorola Razr i; though I have not used either of these phones.
The android experience is ternished by the amount of bloatware that comes preinstalled and the bugs that appear and never go. I already had to reset the phone after only a few weeks of use because of wifi issues. That seemed to solve the problem but a few days later the bugs reappeared.
Sony support is almost inexistant. Maybe the small number of buyers compared to other brands doesn't justify for them the cost of a real customer service...
If you add to all of this the fact that the phone is still on android 4.0 ICS an OS that's more then a year old (an eternity in mobile world) then the conclusion is simple:
AVOID!
It already has a dent in the back cover and doesn't feel particularly nice to hold and the screen has progressively become less and less responsive, So its durability is questionable. But it does what I need it to do and because I've owned a Sony Xperia its okay. I will try another Android other than Sony for my next purchase.
The 8Mp camera is excellent and seems better than that on my previous Xperia Neo. Calls are clear and the dialler has been improved over the Neo. Be aware it uses a micro SIM card.
It currently runs Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread though Sony have promised an upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS, probably in August. I believe Sony's current customisation does use some ICS features. Unfortunately, there is a lot of bloatware taking up memory space which you can't easily get rid of. There is 11.2 Gb of internal storage plus about 1.5 Gb of phone memory. There's no way for expanding memory by a microSD card.
The Xperia P is quite responsive to use but things like live wallpapers can cause a slight lag (and drain the battery!).
Box contents are basic but there is a micro HDMI cable for connection to an HD TV. The phone has an NFC chip but there are no Smart Tags incuded. I bought a pack and have found them useful for quickly changing the profile of the phone. Sony NT1 Smart Tag Kit with 4 Xperia NFC Smart Tags for Android
Battery life is about 1-2 days on normal use but spend time playing games, surfing the Net, watching videos etc. and it drains quite quickly. Like most smartphones, the battery never has enough capacity.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my Xperia P- 5 stars.

The cell is excelent. but it didn't come the smart tags. and in the publication said the it must coming in the box

ana maria
my advice if you can buy the xperia s no mistake, most of all by the battery life
