    I had run out of space on my other IPad and so moved on to this larger pad with more storage. I use my IPads daily. I usually participate in the Field Ministry 5 days a week and so use the smaller storage pad when sharing Bible scriptures with householders. The larger pad has a keyboard attachment and remains on my work table for all other uses. I use the net to keep files and thus allow sharing between my devices. I love this IPad.

    Compared to regular iPad, pro version of iPad is pricy to say the least. It is enough to buy decent Windows laptop or even low end Apple laptop.

    Apple released the latest 2018 iPad Pro version and bumped the screen size to 11 inch instead of 10.5 inch as well as new chips for improved performance and even thinner size. Apple also got rid of in 2018 iPad Pro model, headphone jack, fingerprint touch ID, Home Button, lightening cable and replaced it with facial ID, USB-C and of course even higher price than 2017 iPad Pro.

    Based on all of above I was not sold on 2018 iPad Pro so when there was sale on 2017 iPad Pro model I made a jump for it. Because I had to pay sales tax if I purchased this tablet at Amazon I did a search and found a well known NY based brick and mortar store offering the same price (but no sales tax) where I ended up ordering.

    The package arrived new in box except I was bummed when I found out my tablet had completely dead battery and iOS 10 instead of latest iOS 12. iOS software can be easily updated but letting battery run completely dry is not good as it can potentially damage battery health. (The store did warn that you may get one with latest iOS software or one with older iOS 10)

    There are no owner's manual included. If you're already into Apple's ecosystem no big deal setting it up. However, if you're purchasing your first Apple tablet then it might be cause for concern. Apple offer digital iPad User Guide iOS 12.1.1 free for those who want to learn and take advantage of what iOS can do.

    Prior to purchasing 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 inch 512GB model, I had Acer tablet (Android), Samsung tablet (Android), iPad Air (64GB), iPad Mini 2 (32GB). With the sale price and not having to pay sales tax, the price I paid was close to iPad Air (purchased right when it first came out new and not on sale).

    After first recharging battery, updating iOS to latest 12.1.1, and installing my favorite softwares, I played around and suffice to say I am impressed at how smooth the tablet worked. Though already one generation behind unless you are professional digital artist you will not come close to tax its capability.

    One feature I enjoyed was that Pro model does come with four stereo speakers which gave much fuller sound than regular iPad with two speakers.

    This tablet is so powerful for my need that I may not need to buy another one for a long time. 😁
