BUY: If you have been wanting a smart watch or have been thinking it could help you out (it can).DO NOT BUY: If you don't have an iPhone. OR if you're buying this to check your email.Have an iPhone? You need an Apple Watch SE. It's so worth it. You need an apple watch because it will remind you to stand. It will tell you to breathe when you are stressed out. It will help you make your exercise goal. It will make you walk 10,000 steps every day. It will tell you how your sleep quality is. Do not make the mistake in labeling these as useless things, as they will compound to make major changes in your life. So while yes, this thing can make phone calls, send emails, read texts, etc., the main value comes from the surplus of health features and activity monitors it provides. It's very useful for people who always seem to miss phone calls or texts, but it is not meant to be used your new main device for sending emails or texts. It's not supposed to replace your phone for calling. This watch is at its best when it comes to fitness and activity. I like gadgets, so I'm surprised I hadn't jumped onto the smartwatch bandwagon already. I think I was reluctant to pay a lot to tell the time when I already had a watch - that told me the date too! But, come Amazon Prime day, I decided to dish out $30 bucks on a low end smart watch. And I loved it! It could count my steps, set an alarm, set a timer, and had a relaxation/meditation app! Much more than just a watch...

So it began. I started looking into a proper smart watch and asked around amongst my friends. I did my research on all the different Apple Watch series and face sizes. To summarize, Apple only sells series 3 (gps only), SE, and series 6. Series 4 and 5 are being discontinued but can still be found here and there to buy.

SE seems to be the best compromise on cost and value. It has the bigger screen size, louder mic, and more space than the series 3, but doesn't have the blood oxygen, ECG, or always-on screen like the series 6. I can live without those perks to save over $100. The new SE also has a lower price than series 5.

I had bought the 44m at first, thinking I don't have dainty skinny wrists and I'd probably appreciate the bigger screen in the long run. But the 44mm was just a bit TOO big for my liking, so I got the 40mm instead, which is perfect for me. It really is a personal preference, but the smaller screen is still perfectly clear enough for me.

Set up was easy peasy and I love the additional functions on this watch. I can control Audible from my watch instead of shouting at Siri while I'm driving, I can check the time and weather across the globe from my wrist, I can check emails and texts at a glance without having to dig out my phone, I can add expenses to my tracker app using my watch, and I can record voice memos on the go! I love it! I haven't even used the Apple pay feature yet. And yes, it does everything that my other cheap smart watch does too.

For me, it wasn't worth paying extra for the cellular option as I tend to always have my phone nearby, so I don't need to pay for an extra data plan. The only major bummer about this watch is that the battery power isn't great. I usually hardly ever remove my regular watches from my wrist. Even my cheapo smart watch lasted two weeks on one charge. With this one, it needs to be charged pretty much daily, or every other day if you're lucky. I've already bought a portable smart watch charger that can charge directly from USB, I keep it in my handbag. I think this battery issue is the same for all Apple Watches so I'm ok with accepting there's no way around it.

I've also bought a third party metal band and a clear plastic cover with screen protector. I'd be heartbroken if I managed to scratch this watch anytime soon, but I might be less precious about it after a few months! Very happy with my purchase and I look forward to making good use of it!

This is my first smart watch. I purchased it for a variety of uses but one most important to me was the ability to count steps. That feature works fantastic. I’ve fallen in love with being able to answer my phone using my watch as I don’t carry my phone on my body when I’m working around the house. No more running to another room to get to the phone in time. Just found the walkie talkie feature and I think I’m Inspector Gadget now. The weather at a glance is another great feature. The only problem I had was it kept zooming to such a large size I couldn’t unlock it and then I couldn’t turn it off. That night I tried to sell it to my grandson I was so frustrated, lol. Thankfully he already has an Apple Watch, I calmed down and Googled an answer so now I know what to do. I wish manuals came with things, but I have found the online manual and downloaded. This will keep me learning new things for months I’m sure.

This watch has already proven to be durable because I have banged it up against a few doors already lol yes i have a problem. Regardless, I have not a scratch on my screen. Of course I am coming from a Series 1 but this screen size is perfect. I considered the 44mm but it just seems unnecessarily bigger and not worth the extra money. Overall, definitely worth the 270 my wife paid for it. Merry Christmas to me!

Held off forever in buying a Apple Watch. I was using a Garmin watch for tracking steps, sleep and such and thought that’s all I need. Then I started reading about the Apple (we have their phones, iPads already) and being use to the Apple universe decided this Christmas to get the new SE for the wife and I.
Setup was easy peasy, the watch looks and feels great and just about anything I want to do in now available on my wrist. Very cool! I now feel like a cross between the Jetson’s and Maxwell Smart! Only wish the battery lasted a bit longer, but getting use to placing it on the charger every other day. The battery in my Garmen has lasted for over the past two years, but I can’t get my messages, answer the phone, use the walki-talkie or turn my lights on/off or open/lock my front door with the Garman! I really like these watches, and they are the perfect size, look great and feel good as well!

Adorei e recomendo!

5.0 out of 5 stars Melhor custo benefício de AppleWatch para 2021
