Anyone shopping for the Apple Watch SE has a few options for notable savings today at Target and Walmart. Both retailers are taking $30 off the 40mm and 44mm GPS Apple Watch SE in multiple colors, starting at $249.99 for the 40mm, down from $279.99 [Target / Walmart].

There's also the 44mm model for $279.99, down from $309.99 [Target / Walmart]. While not quite record low prices, these are solid second-best options, given that we haven't seen steep discounts on the Apple Watch SE for most of 2021.

Target and Walmart both offer free in-store pickup for the Apple Watch SE, depending on stock at your local store. You can also opt for free two day shipping from both retailers, and Target RedCard members can take an additional 5 percent off their purchase.

Last week, I ordered a 44mm gold Apple Watch SE from Amazon and paid $321.00 (inc. tax).

Two days later, I received a 40mm gold Apple Watch SE... so I contacted the seller and they initiated a replacement to be sent once the one I received is returned back to them.

Skip to today, I see this article that has the 44mm at Walmart ready to be picked up today and only for $299.00 (inc. tax)!

So I immediately go to Amazon, cancel the replacement, and issue a refund!

I'm heading straight to Walmart after work to pick up the watch that I should've got last week and for a better deal!

Thanks MacRumors for the heads-up!

EDIT: I waited for a confirmation email from Walmart that the order was ready for pickup... at 7PM they emailed me that the order was cancelled!! Which means I basically shot myself in the foot and now I'm left with no new watch at all!

I remember thinking, I will get a classy band for a professional look, a sports band for working out, and a loop for casual days.

But then I tried swapping them out and decided the black sports band is good enough for all activities.

It takes two seconds to swap bands. I have four: Sports band it came with, and then 3rd party fabric, metal and a one piece stretchy band that all cost a fraction of what Apple charges. I routinely swap them out depending on the circumstances and needs, and doing so is ridiculously easy.

LOL. No. That tiny little clasp takes four minutes, a jewelers loop, and an iFixit kit to press.

It would be nice if these articles showing discounts would start with "Anyone in the United States" rather than "Anyone". It may surprise the copywriters and some readers to know that there are other countries out there, most of which don't have Target or Walmart or any of the other stores usually listed. Some of us don't even have Amazon in their country.
