How to do an internet search on forwarded WhatsApp messages

If you receive a message that’s been forwarded from one user to another user many times, you can initiate an internet search from within the WhatsApp chat for information relating to the message content. These messages are indicated with a double arrow icon
frequently forwarded
. This feature is currently available for users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.
Note: If you choose to search the content of a message on the web, this feature will allow you to upload the message content directly to Google without sharing it with WhatsApp. Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will apply.
  1. Tap Search
    search
    next to the forwarded message.
  2. Tap Search Web.
  3. Search will redirect you to the web browser where your results will be displayed in Google.
