After his father remarries, Bastian (Jason James Richter) has trouble dealing with hostile stepsister Nicole (Melody Kay). At school, Bastian is bullied by Skip (Jack Black) and his pals. Retreating to the library, he runs into old Mr. Coreander (Freddie Jones) and again starts reading "The Neverending Story," the book that transports him to Fantasia. Trouble ensues when Skip finds the volume and begins destroying the fantasy kingdom, forcing Bastian to return to the real world to stop him.

The original Never Ending Story was a classic. Part two was terrible and sadly so was this. How they managed to mess up the sequels so woefully is one of life's great mysteries... Pathetic.

Absaloutely terrible. Avid fantasy fan and have major loyalty to the original Neverending Story.. I even watched the second and didn't hate it. But this is total garbage. I couldn't stomach finishing it. Between the cheesy dialogue and rock biter/stoneman bursting into song (!?) What were they actually thinking.

Horrible, heinous, whatever you may call it. The Neverending Story III can't even qualify for a cult or guilty pleasure film. Everything is wrong, from the casting choices (Childlike Empress looks like a Vogue model) to the screenplay. I couldn't go through five minutes through this painful satire full of cheesy jokes, wooden acting and effects obviously created by crackheads. The first one's was lauded for its profound meanings, cinematography, effects and dark tone. I have mixed feelings about the second one, since it has nice artwork, cinematography and the very basic story from the second third of the book. But this? It has nothing except for a decent Jack Black. You may as well call this abomination created by Satan himself: "The Neverending Story III: Sebastian, the spoiled little shit spends five minutes in Fantasia with abominations and manages to fight his bullies in a 90s manner". If you ever come across a copy of this movie, don't even bother, just burn it, obliterate it to a million pieces and never talk about it again.
