  • Market Digest: BAX, CCEP, CMCSA, FE, QCOM, VRSK

As earnings season progresses, insiders are still nowhere near to giving an 'all clear' signal for the stock market. Insider selling activity across the Nasdaq, NYSE, and ASE outpaced buying activity by a factor of nearly 4.00 over the past week, this on a scale where anything above 2.50 is bearish. Still, longer-term readings from Vickers Stock Research have improved over the past several weeks, with the Total Eight-Week Sell/Buy Ratio falling to 4.25 from last week's 4.67, as well as from the mid-March high of 5.73. This calming in the eight-week ratios suggests insiders prepared themselves for the volatility we've seen of late and are now in a less-defensive but still-cautious posture.

  • Analyst Report: América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V.

America Movil is the largest telecom carrier in Latin America, serving about 285 million wireless customers across the region. It also provides fixed-line phone, internet access, and television services in most of the countries it serves. Mexico is the firm’s largest market, providing about 35% of service revenue. Movil dominates the Mexican wireless market with more than 60% customer share and also serves about half of fixed-line internet access customers in the country. Brazil, its second most important market, provides about 20% of service revenue. Movil sold its low-margin wireless resale business in the U.S. to Verizon in 2021 and now owns a 1.4% stake in the U.S. telecom giant. The firm also holds a 58% stake in Telekom Austria and a 15% stake in Dutch carrier KPN.
