Sometimes, being bad is good, as a gorgeous new piece of Black Cat fan art shows off the naughtier side of the Marvel Comics antihero. On his Twitter account, artist Marco Failla shared his take on Felicia Hardy's costumed persona, bringing out the best in the character as she swings across the city with Spider-Man in hot pursuit. The piece of art perfectly captures what makes Black Cat a fan-favorite figure in the comics.

Black Cat has long navigated on the edge of being good in bad in the Marvel Universe ever since the character debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 by Marv Wolfman and Keith Pollard. Felicia Hardy quickly became one of Marvel's greatest thieves, however, her actions were more for the thrill of the prize than being a straight-up villain. As such, her relationship with Spider-Man is complicated as Peter Parker knows she's not going to do anything particularly evil, but he still struggles with her criminal activities. But, that hasn't stopped Black Cat from continuing her grand heists, putting her in conflict with the web-slinger.

On his Twitter account, Marco Failla, who will draw the upcoming Teen Justice series from DC Comics, shared his take on Black Cat. The Marvel Comics fan art features Felicia Hardy in her iconic costume as she sports a big smile on her face as she jumps into the night with Spider-Man in hot pursuit. The perspective in the piece is excellent, as it shows Black Cat mid-swing with seemingly few worries in her head, as a very concerned Spider-Man chases after her. Check out the gorgeous art below.

While Black Cat has starred in some fantastic solo books this year, it would be fun to see Failla get a crack at drawing the hero. The Marvel Comics fan art shows he understands the character's personality, as his style lends itself perfectly to the antihero. Seeing an entire comic of Failla's take on Black Cat would be a treat for readers.

Black Cat's profile is higher than it's ever been in the pages of Marvel Comics, as the hero is fresh off her solo series and is rumored to be appearing in live-action (in costume) for the first time ever. Marvel fan art like Failla's proves why the character has become an A-list character in the comics, as her costume, personality, and playfulness - all displayed in the piece - have captured the attention of readers and turned Black Cat into an antihero they are thrilled to see pop up in stories.
