U.S. National Film Registry -- Titles
In 1988, the (United States) Library of Congress established the National Film Preservation Board, to preserve film deemed "culturally, historically, or esthetically important". Each year, the board selects 25 films to add to the National Film Registry. Herein is the complete list of those films so honoured to date.

Librarian of Congress James Billington welcomes public nominations for the National Film Registry. Nominated films must meet two criteria:
be culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant,
be at least ten years old.
Persons may nominate up to fifty films for inclusion in the Registry. Nominations must be received by March 30 of each year to be eligible for that year; nominations received after March 30 will be considered the following year. All nominations should be mailed to:
