Some people seem to have all the luck in the world. In the world of comics, that's taken in a more literal sense. While some characters can bench press buses or run at supersonic speeds, some can mess with fate. There is an abundance of comic characters who have Lady Luck on their side.

These characters are capable of manipulating probability to their advantage. If they aren't the luckiest person in the room, then they are making everyone the unluckiest. From Black Cat to Roulette, these are the top ten Marvel characters that don't just rely on luck; they control it.

10 Black Cat

Felicia Hardy Black Cat

There's no one better to start this list than Felicia Hardy, AKA Black Cat. Most people see her as one of Spider-Man's many love interests and an analog for Catwoman, but she actually has powers, unlike Selina. Initially, she received enhancements from the Kingpin, but after Dr. Strange removed them, she had a quantum probability pulsator grafted. In layman's terms, it allows her to affect probability fields and cause her opponents to experience bad luck. As if Spider-Man had it hard enough dealing with the Parker Luck.

9 Domino

Unlike Black Cat, Domino doesn't need any enhancements to control her luck. As a mutant, her luck-altering abilities stem from her mutation, allowing her to cause phenomena around her using psionics.

To use this power, she needs to be placed in a harmful, stressful situation and make an active effort to save herself. Meaning she can't control what happens around her, but as long as she tries to avoid bullet fire, luck will be on her side unless she is trying to get Deadpool to stop annoying her.

8 Roulette

Marvel's Hellions Roulette

Domino isn't the only mutant with all the luck. Roulette was among the original line-up of the Hellions under the leadership of the White Queen. She can conjure discs of psionic energy that can cause good luck to those hit by her red disks and bad luck to those hit by black disks. Roulette uses her powers to constantly provide herself with an aura of good luck and protect her teammates from harm. Apparently, it wasn't good enough to save her from death, but at least The Five were kind enough to resurrect her on Krakoa.

7 Longshot

For some reason, fortune seems to smile on women more than men in comics. That's one explanation why Longshot is one of the few men that can change his luck.

A denizen of Mojoworld uses psionic means to put the odds in his favor as a stuntman and gladiator. Should he lose hope in himself or use his abilities for selfish intentions, his luck could turn against him and backfire terribly. Showing once again the importance of having a pure heart and self-love.

6 Shamrock

If there's one thing, a list like this needs is a bit of the Irish' luck. Luckily, Shamrock has that luck in spades along with a gaggle of ghosts to help her out. Apart from her Irish heritage, Shamrock stands out because she serves as a vessel for innocent war victims' souls. They help her out in the form of energy bursts that help turn the odds in her favor making it look like she's naturally lucky. She's retired from superheroing but has become a successful hairdresser and bar owner.

5 Eddie Gunnam

Luck isn't always granted because someone happens to have psionic abilities. At the turn of the 20th century, Eddie Gunnam, AKA The Swell, "acquired" it from a mystical walking stick whose owner was struck by lightning five times. Eddie was granted the power to manipulate outcomes in his favor and garner the trust of people. Or at least, he was until the Runaways traveled back in time and accidentally caused a gang war resulting in his stick getting shot and destroyed. Still, at least Eddie wasn't hit by lightning.

4 Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch using her hex powers in the comics

Although Scarlet Witch's MCU counterpart may not have the best control over her luck, it's a slightly different comics story.  When she first appeared in comics, she could use her powers to cause bad luck in the form of hexes so long as the incidents were probable.

These phenomena ranged from detonating nearby objects, deflecting attacks, canceling powers, and so much more. Due to retcons in the comics, explaining how her powers work has been altered, but that doesn't change the fact she possesses said ability. If she had that power in the movies, they would be over a lot sooner.

3 Isca

The only way someone earns the title of Isca the Unbeaten is with some luck on their side. An ancient mutant who lived long ago and was the sister-in-law to Apocalypse, she always possessed the uncanny ability to win no matter what. The good news is that power applied to always succeeding in war, but that doesn't apply to other people in her life. To win, she often sides against her friends and family. A valuable mutant power that comes with a hefty price.

2 Blindfold

For a girl born without eyes or eye sockets, one would think Blindfold would have awful luck. While her childhood may have been bleak, she turned out to a resourceful and powerful mutant. While she can't see normally, she can perceive the past and future as well as use her psychic and telepathic abilities to achieve the desired outcome. She's overcome her disability and managed to come out on top more often than most people would think. She might even be able to give Daredevil a run for his money.

1 The Queen of Nevers

It figures that person with the greatest control over luck is the embodiment of all possibilities in the Multiverse. Capable of witnessing and feeling every possible outcome, The Queen of Nevers can make changes to reality to ensure a certain outcome happens. Only in the Land of Couldn't-Be Shouldn't-Be is she vulnerable to attack because it is there that anything can happen. Otherwise, she holds all the cards and can take the actions necessary to ensure her success under any circumstances. Or at least make sure her heart isn't stolen again.
