Manny the mammoth starts to worry when his daughter Peaches announces her engagement. Still unlucky in love, Sid the sloth volunteers to plan the couple's wedding. To Manny's dismay, nothing can stop the upcoming nuptials, except maybe the end of the world. When Scrat accidentally launches himself into outer space, he sets off a chain reaction that sends an asteroid hurtling toward Earth. This time they sent Scrat into space and all the characters from the previous parts were molded into one common biomass and everyone was given stupid conflicts (it was worth thinking about the Easter eggs in the original).A meager color palette, five plot clowns, Sid was turned into a pathetic idiot, in other words, all the juice was sucked out of the franchise. The continuation looks far-fetched, stupid and pathetic. Good graphics, of course, were brought in, but the soulfulness, apparently, was lost along the way.
