      Critics Consensus

Unoriginal and unfunny, Ice Age: Collision Course offers further proof that not even the healthiest box office receipts can keep a franchise from slouching toward creative extinction.

NextAmirChannel should've ended with continental drift Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Артем РThis time they sent Scrat into space and all the characters from the previous parts were molded into one common biomass and everyone was given stupid conflicts (it was worth thinking about the Easter eggs in the original).A meager color palette, five plot clowns, Sid was turned into a pathetic idiot, in other words, all the juice was sucked out of the franchise. The continuation looks far-fetched, stupid and pathetic. Good graphics, of course, were brought in, but the soulfulness, apparently, was lost along the way. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review Dino G Ice Age: Collison Course is an entertaining comedy that is undoubtedly the funniest installment. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Nicholas T This movie killed the franchise. I went in with very low expectations and I was still let down. Sid the Sloth deserves better. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Keith N Definitely the most pointless movie, but I still enjoyed it, and I definitely now see why many people don't like this Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/23 Full Review Teddy B Bankrupt for ideas and boringly pathetic, this FIFTH installment of the now undead 'Ice Age' franchise is now feeling like it's a waste of good money to produce and majorly advertise. Dwight Brown National Newspaper Publishers Association This is the kind of innocent retreat from everyday routines that kids will savor. Nov 8, 2016 Full Review Ed Potton Times (UK) Adults may find that a bit much. Kids, I suspect, will lap it up. Rated: 4/5 Aug 25, 2016 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times So, here we are: five films in, and by the time we've finished with the introductions, there's hardly any time for a movie or jokes. Laugh? Not even once; not even close. Rated: 1/5 Aug 9, 2016 Full Review Kate Robertson Stuff.co.nz The familiar voices of Ray Romano, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Max Greenfield make for some distinct and headstrong characters - a winning formula, if there ever was one.
