      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Diminished by uneven animation and treacly songs, Quest for Camelot is an adventure that ought to be tossed back to the Lady of the Lake.

Cody W The road to Camelot is a tough one, but with great characters, and unforgettable songs, the journey that lies ahead is definitely full of surprises. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Victoria S This movie was my favorite when I was a kid. Every time I was stressed out or needed a pick me up, I would pop this one into the vcr. I was always alone when I watched it. The only movie that I ever cried my eyes out, from beginning to end. I empathized with all the characters, lost myself in the story, and sang along to all the songs. Now as an adult, I still need this movie in my life. It tugs at every one of my heart strings. Quest for Camelot is perfect in every way! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review Ruru R This is honestly one of the best movies I have ever watched, and one of the only that have gotten me to cry in the beginning of the movie! I loved the comedy, adventure and romance. I can't comprehend why it was a flop. The people who don't see magic in this movie are sad people according to me. That or the English dub was terrible? Bc I think the songs and the movie itself is a masterpiece and I'm glad it was made. Makes me sad to see all these negative reviews when I can see that there was effort put into this movie and I know I can't be the only one who loves it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/17/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a very good and really phenomenal animated family movie. It had very well done animation, really splendid voice cast, really interesting characters, really magnificent songs, really extraordinary adventure, really cool fantasy, very excellent humor, really beautiful backgrounds and a very great story. My favorite character in this movie was Devon and Cornwall, the two-headed dragon and it’s hilarious. I definitely recommend this film to kids and adults alike. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review Geri S This is a Fantastic musical for children that has whimsy and fun a little scary for some littler kids but absolutely fabulous even as an adult now I really enjoyed Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Karennn Fun movie, I loved the songs. Philip Thomas Empire Magazine Energetic, pacey and funny with tons of great fights. What more could any six-year-old want? Rated: 4/5 Aug 10, 2020 Full Review Nell Minow Common Sense Media Decent full-length animated musical drama. Rated: 3/5 Dec 28, 2010 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety A lightweight but likable fantasy that offers a playfully feminist twist to Arthurian legends. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Gary Wolcott Tri-City Herald The producers hired singer songwriters David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager to do the music -- or should I say, muzak. These two write the wimpiest music on the planet. Rated: 2/5 Feb 15, 2023 Full Review Leah Rozen People Magazine Both the derring-do of this duo and the comic antics of their animal sidekicks (particularly a talkative two-headed dragon) will keep children entertained. Aug 10, 2020 Full Review Tom Hutchinson Radio Times Adapted from the novel The King's Damosel by British writer Vera Chapman, it's hot on character but rather devoid of action.
