8 / 10.0 - Stellar Blade
Apr 26, 2024

I mostly had a great time with Stellar Blade with its combat being the real star of the show. Although exploration doesn't offer much exciting, it's still a worthwhile action adventure game that you're sure to have a lot of fun with. 🗡ī¸

SaGa Emerald Beyond is a wonderful RPG for anyone who loves experiencing multiple worlds and stories while partaking in incredibly gratifying encounters against imaginative enemies. This is the sort of game that we need more of. 💎

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants provides simple beat 'em up entertainment that can be kind of fun for a couchful of chums. However, its middling nature certainly leaves a lot to be desired. 🍕

6.1 / 10.0 - Lunar Lander Beyond
Apr 22, 2024

Although I love the original and most of the games that it inspired, I found Lunar Lander Beyond to ironically be a step back. Yes, it can still be a rewarding game but the sense of accomplishment will often only come after much frustration. 🚀

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is an incredibly enjoyable RPG and it brought back great memories of the Suikoden series. Collecting the heroes and having them join you in battle while you build your base and protect the land is just as fun as it was decades ago. 🏰

7.4 / 10.0 - Saviorless
Apr 20, 2024

Despite a relatively unexciting first half, there's a solid blend of platforming, action, and puzzles wrapped in a strikingly gorgeous presentation. If you can live with some of its vague storytelling and the weird way it handles collectibles, I wholeheartedly recommend it. ⛅

Apr 18, 2024

My gaming chum and I absolutely adore Ready, Steady, Ship! and we can't wait for even more factory fun so bring on the DLC and sequel, please. It's a genuinely unique co-op experience that's packed with variety; every genre enthusiast simply needs to play it. đŸ“Ļ

Gigantic: Rampage Edition is a lot of fun and I'm very happy that they brought it back after years of being left in the gaming graveyard. It may not be a huge step up but what's here is still sure to entertain anyone who loves a chaotic online funfest. đŸ’ĸ

7.8 / 10.0 - Let's! Revolution!
Apr 11, 2024

Let's! Revolution! is one of the cleverest puzzle games that I've played in a long time and it will certainly get you hooked thanks to its delightfully lovely visuals and contemporary take on a classic formula. Who knew that regicide could be this much fun? 🔎

8 / 10.0 - Terra Memoria
Apr 11, 2024

I have some issues with Terra Memoria but they're tiny and barely detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Fun battles, exploration, worldbuilding, characters - it's a simple yet solid RPG that I think almost any fan of the genre will find entertaining. đŸĻĨ

7.4 / 10.0 - Rainbow Moon

Rainbow Moon may not be for everyone but those who really get into it will love it a lot so I definitely recommend it to anyone who has an affinity for slow-paced SRPG adventures and doesn't mind grinding in order to unlock their full potential. 🌝

Flightpath: Adventures in Venaris is a genuinely entertaining shoot 'em up that you can spend hours with and still discover more you can do in its distinct campaign and clever customisation component. It may not be arcade-like but I still recommend it to any shmup fan. 🛩ī¸

8.8 / 10.0 - Freedom Planet 2
Apr 3, 2024

I'm very happy that Freedom Planet 2 not only lives up to its phenomenal predecessor but surpasses it in many ways. With stellar gameplay, oodles of supplementary mechanics and content, and a bubbly cast of characters that you'll love; it's one wonderful game. đŸĒ

4.5 / 10.0 - One Last Breath
Mar 30, 2024

One Last Breath's presentation is terrific but everything else about it is mediocre at best so unless you don't mind dealing with subpar puzzles and are a big fan of immersing yourself in a ruined world taken back by nature, I wouldn't bother with it.

7.5 / 10.0 - Felix the Cat
Mar 28, 2024

Felix the Cat remains one of my favourite gems from the NES library and I'm very happy that they brought it back for modern gamers to enjoy. Here's hoping we get a Baby Felix compilation next with those cute tennis and Halloween games. 😸

The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered offers a promising RPG formula that's unfortunately weighed down by frequent frustrations and unnecessary tedium. Thankfully, The Alliance Alive was born from this which is a vastly superior experience. ⚔ī¸

I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun the mellow journey within Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is. Once I picked it up, I found myself not wanting to put it down as it rewards you for almost everything you do and it has a long list of activities and items to keep you busy. Hopefully, the developers iron out the glitches soon as this cosy game is certainly something special. 🏝ī¸

8.1 / 10.0 - Rise of the Ronin
Mar 21, 2024

Rise of the Ronin is a great action-packed open-world experience that starts very strong but as time goes on, it definitely starts to become repetitious; mostly due to its lack of variety and memorable boss fights. It's still generally a lot of fun, though. đŸ¯

8.5 / 10.0 - Mediterranea Inferno
Mar 21, 2024

I am very glad to have experienced Mediterranea Inferno as its themes and messages will stick with me for a long time; maybe even forever. Granted, it's not exactly escapist fantasy nor a fun game most of the time. It is, however, an incredible piece of art by all metrics and I implore you to play it as long as you can handle its mature elements. ☀ī¸
