Solent University splits the academic year into three terms: the autumn term, the spring term and the summer term.
First year students start the autumn term a week earlier than other students, giving them a chance to enjoy welcome week and settle into life here on campus.

- Spring term: Tuesday 2 January 2024 to Friday 28 March 2024
- Summer term: Monday 15 April to Friday 24 May 2024
