Welcome to Guidelines International Network
The Guidelines International Network, or GIN, is the connector in the guideline world. Established in 2002, we have 120 organisational members and 127 individual members from 50 countries, as of 31st March 2024, – all with a common goal of improving healthcare, through using evidence and implementing evidence-based guidelines.
GIN’s aims are simple – to enable and facilitate networking and collaboration, whether national or international, bring the best minds together and support continuous learning and improvement and at the same time, reduce duplication of effort across the guideline world.
You can view our five year strategy here.
The organisation is led by an elected, international Board of Trustees.
International Guidelines Library & Registry
The open access GIN library contains links to over 3000 guidelines, published or endorsed by GIN members, as well as health guidelines from non-member organisations.
Additionally, there is a register of planned guidelines and guidelines in development, which is open and free of charge to any guideline producers. Our aim is to avoid duplication of effort, increase transparency and offer the potential for collaboration.
Get Involved
As part of the GIN network, you can connect with the most influential people in the guideline world, join a range of topic-specific Working Groups with the opportunity to produce GIN products or collaborate on publications. You could also join your regional community, aimed at providing a more local network and addressing the needs determined by the geopolitical background. Members may become more deeply involved through election to a steering group and may also stand for election to the Board of Trustees, where the future direction of GIN is set.
Members Benefits
As a GIN member, you are not only part of the connector in the guideline world, but will also be eligible for exclusive benefits: reduced event registration fees, selected free webinars, discounted INGUIDE training for each stage of the program, nomination for the prestigious Najoua Mlika Cabanne award for innovation, as well as additional benefits for organisational members. GIN has important partnerships, which deliver discounted access to various platforms and tools.
Resources
Trustworthy, reliable, evidence-based resources can be hard to find. We have done the leg work for you and grouped together some helpful resources and links to resource-laden sites. This includes webinars, publications, presentations, toolkits as well as special sections on covid-19 evidence and resources.
