The extract is so much easier to use than tea. Making a hot tea with Lemon Balm leaves can be shortcutted by putting a few drops of the extract in some water. Chilled water preferred. And drinking it. This is a recommended cure for schizophrenia, I have it among many other dietary ways mentioned in my book, Overcoming Schizophrenia Through Diet and Lifestyle. I have tried another extract of lemon balm and I like this one more. Currently using it as needed for paranoia. I've used it regularly for a few weeks to get a serious effect. One evening, at about half-hour intervals I made my chilled water drink. Over the evening I had about a dropper full. I've got several teas and drinks, herbal, and use lemon balm extract also in some times I feel I can use the effect. In desperation, late at night, I have taken the recommended daily dose before midnight for one day and after midnight for the next day. This was usually when I had consumed coffee late in the day and then, my thought was to not do anything destructive. And it works really well. I don't use it much lately.

This helps insomnia and anxiety. I've been using this a few months now and it is great. I wake up in the night multiple times to use the bathroom and once I'm up I often have trouble getting back to sleep for a long time even hours. But with this when I get up, it only takes minutes for me to fall back to sleep most of the time. It also helps when I have anxiety for me to calm down. Just don't try to take too much. Taking 7 or 8 drops in juice seems to work best for me. I tried taking I think 10 drops (it was a while back and I'm not certain the exact amount but it was only slightly more) and had trouble dragging myself out of bed in the morning. I also tried talking several less and it didn't work. Of course, you may need a different amount of drops, so try it more than once if it didn't work or you feel too tired- experimenting with the amount.

I saw a doctor on Dr. Oz's show talking about this as giving you a little stress relief at the end of a hard difficult day or during a really tough life bump as I'd call it. I'm not on any medication that might interact negatively with this so I decided to try it. It works for me. I put about 10 drops in my tea and it lightens my mood enough to return to my normally sunny self. When my aunt was dying, it helped me put the evening in perspective when I got home for the night and she'd had a bad day. I don't use this every day, my life isn't that traumatic to me, but sometimes when I feel a pity party coming on I add to my tea and play dance music instead of other music. It gives tea a touch of lemon flavor, though, it isn't as strong as when you squeeze a lemon into your cup.

I got this for a friend that has insomnia and decided to buy myself a bottle too since I have trouble sleeping at times. It worked really well for us both. I just got to the end of my bottle last night and I actually have it in my cart to purchase it again but it's an add-on and I'm trying to find some other stuff I need so I can get to my $25 requirement. Lol. But if you are using this for insomnia, then I definitely recommend it. My friend also has herpes and taking this on a daily, he hang reported having any outbreaks but it's only a a couple of months so I can't really fully review in that area.
