Zusammenfassung

Der Schockraum ist die Nahtstelle zwischen prä- und innerklinischer Versorgung akut vital bedrohter Patienten. Die Indikationen reichen vom Polytrauma, der akuten Neurologie über den akuten Brust- oder Bauchschmerz bis hin zur unklaren Situation bei komatösen Patienten. Daher erfolgt die Versorgung immer interdisziplinär und stellt höchste Anforderungen an alle Beteiligten. Dies erfordert abgestimmte, ursachenspezifische Standards und gegenseitiges Verständnis der beteiligten Partner. Die Radiologie ist in der Diagnostik und der interventionellen Therapie integraler Bestandteil der Versorgung. Zentrale diagnostische Modalitäten sind die FAST-Sonografie („focused assessment with sonography for trauma“) und die Ganzkörper-Computertomografie (GK-CT) sowie für spezielle Fragestellungen auch die Magnetresonanztomografie (MRT). Dabei kommt es in der Notfallradiologie auf die schnelle Erfassung und klare Kommunikation und Dokumentation der relevanten Befunde an. Analog zur Maxime des Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) gilt „diagnose first what kills first“.
