Megha Kapoor is exiting her position as head of editorial content at Vogue India, according to multiple sources. A job listing for the role was posted last week.

Kapoor took up the top editorial job at Vogue’s Indian edition in September 2021 after the ouster of founding editor Priya Tanna as part of a major restructuring at parent company Condé Nast.

The shakeup put all of Vogue’s international editions under the control of US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, exiting many of the editors who once ran local editions independently and replacing them with heads of editorial content.

Kapoor’s departure comes as international fashion brands increase their focus on India’s fast-growing luxury market and roughly two months after Condé Nast said Edward Enninful would step away from his dual post as European editorial director of Vogue and editor-in-chief of British Vogue and transition to a global advisory role.

A representative for Condé Nast did not respond to a request for comment.
