GOD DAMN IT I WASN'T EXPECTING REPTILIANS

[–][deleted] 161 points162 points  (7 children)

I was right in the middle of a fucking reptile zoo! And somebody was giving booze to these god damn things! It won't be long now until they tear us to shreds.

[–]ghostofthecosmos 34 points35 points  (2 children)

Impossible to walk in this muck.

[–]555Anomoly 31 points32 points  (1 child)

PLEASE, tell me about the fucking golf shoes!

[–]JetttAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made of human flesh

[–]crystalina1984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Was waiting for the Fear and Loathing quotes.

Ignore this terrible drug

[–]thexainy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Snake people, or if you will...Sneople.

[–]Elizarex 13 points14 points  (1 child)

I said the same thing! What a turn!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mouth breather

[–]shoeeyes 5 points6 points  (1 child)

With a bit of luck, your life was ruined forever. Always thinking just behind some narrow door in all of your favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things you'll never know.

[–]JetttAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And red shoes

[–]laramye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much like the Spanish Inquisition.

[–]iToXiTeCh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fucking goddamn leafy

[–][deleted] 88 points89 points  (3 children)

I too saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. "'Why should I fuck with children, he said, 'they're too small.'"

[–]skynet_watches_me_p 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was thinking it's a paraphrase of F&LinLV

[–]Thetallerestpaul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You took too much man!

[–]madhatteringways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEST. MOVIE.

[–]smulia 71 points72 points  (1 child)

For anyone curious about adrenochrome as the world and sources have presented it:

https://www.erowid.org/chemicals/adrenochrome/adrenochrome.shtml

It seems our reptilian overlords are doing a good job at covering this one up as being just a normal medication.

[–]Skaebo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU

[–][deleted] 46 points47 points  (2 children)

Poor things - it's probably a pain to stick a syringe into a vein through scales. So they're probably doing it through the skin in various body cavities. That drug must really be worth it. Do you know if they're hiring?

[–]c01dz3ra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mmm... body cavities...

[–]JetttAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard they make it into a powder that they snort.

[–]jphamlore 27 points28 points  (5 children)

This is not even the worst horror heading down the road and which will happen very soon if not now. You may have heard that transfusing blood from young mice to old mice seems to help the old mice. Well it turns out the most effective procedure by far is to stitch the two animals together and unite their vascular system:

http://www.nature.com/news/ageing-research-blood-to-blood-1.16762

... a small number of labs have revived parabiosis, especially in the field of ageing research. By joining the circulatory system of an old mouse to that of a young mouse, scientists have produced some remarkable results. In the heart, brain, muscles and almost every other tissue examined, the blood of young mice seems to bring new life to ageing organs, making old mice stronger, smarter and healthier.

Trying to use only transfusions would require a stupendous amount of blood, perhaps daily transfusions, and would require perfect screening of a multitude of donors. And it still would not be as effective as joining old to a young body. It would be far more efficient and effective to thoroughly screen for one excellent donor than a multitude.

[–]smulia 31 points32 points  (1 child)

I'm all about increasing the life quality of all living things. This sounds like it would be amazing if it didn't require destroying other living things in the process. The best solution would still be to create a microorganism / nanobot capable of repairing the damage caused by free radicals / keep the telomerase properly guarding our vital chromosomes!

Of course, then you have the issue of immortality. We'd have to force whoever undergoes this treatment to sterilise themselves or we'd overpopulate within a few generations depending on cost / adoption of the procedure.

Sounds pretty dysptopian, huh?

[–]JetttAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s transhumanism, mixing man w machine. And it’s v bad, look at what the graphine oxide in the cockvid vax is doing to ppl

[–]Feebslulunbanjo 12 points13 points  (1 child)

OMG I can't read this too scary. I wanna go back in my box of naivety where it's safe. 😫

[–]musicissweeter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]TypeNeight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at that bunch over there man. They've spotted us.

[–]Bonegrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HST went on a talk show and said he enjoys killing people

[–]hecateismyhomegrrl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

David Icke, is this you?

[–]zeMouse 16 points17 points  (5 children)

This sounds inefficient. Why kill your sources? Surely amount of terror will increase while they recover from a survivable amount of blood draining, due to anticipation of future torture. Even bear bile farms leave the bears alive.

Honestly if you want to make upkeep more efficient, add the filtered blood to their food supply for less waste. All you need from it is the adenochrome

[–]Jechtael 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After a certain point, most people just go numb. The ones who don't become desensitized to everything that's less than unfeasible to enact. ...or so I... Read. On the internet. Not in a training manual in Lithuanian.

[–]CleverGirl2014 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Bear... Bile... Farms... Do I even want to know?

[–]zeMouse 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Probably not. Chinese traditional medicine.

[–]Loro1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's the worst thing i've ever heard of

[–]JetttAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once the child prostitutes have passed their prime, this is how they go out unfortunately.

[–]scoobysnaxxx 4 points5 points  (1 child)

[–]Charmed1one 15 points16 points  (2 children)

I'm wracking my brain trying to remember who the "iconic head of State" is that has small hands. Anyone know?

[–]Baheyeldinnassar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Orange hair, recently president? No I don't know him.

[–]Avenroth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So kinda like the shitty spice replacement from the new Dune novels?

[–]AcreaRising4 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Off topic but I can't wait until the next installment of the runners series. Unfortunately I have no idea where to start the series because the nosleep index is out of date on the series

[–]Cece75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]redeyemom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the film vile.

[–]FantasmaNaranja 1 point2 points  (1 child)

reptilian surprise!

also i feel like it would be much cheaper to figure out what the chemicals are than to waste precious human organs that can be sold in the black market for oh so much money

[–]Unfey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"its normal, small, pink self"
Ah yes.... SO small.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I've known about adrenachrome for a lot of years, and the harvesting techniques. Just didn't realise it was happening on this scale..

[–]bullseyes 1 point2 points  (3 children)

... What did you know?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

That adrenachrome can be harvested within three minutes of someone passing away, from sudden death rather than old age. It is produced in the adrenal gland, meaning your head needs to be hacked apart in order to harvest. VERY expensive, hence world leaders being able to hit it. First time users aren't usually told where it came from, they are only allowed to find out AFTER trying it, otherwise it would put them off. After trying it, because it is so clean and supposed to be the very best of the best, users don't mind how it is harvested as it was just that good.

I also heard that like DMT, artificial adrenachrome is found in EVERY plant on he planet, yet in such minuscule amounts that it is not worth or cost effective to go down this route.

This is what I have heard not seen the proof. I have also heard that it is a made up drug, usually from the type of people that can afford to use. Who are also the people who wouldn't want people finding out.

There is also a reference to it in the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

[–]lyssavirus 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Adrenochrome is oxidized epinephrine. Synthetic epinephrine has been marketed since 1906. No one is murdered for adrenochrome, this is just silly.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, synthetic adrenachrome is probably oxidised epinephrine. It's also probably about as close to it as synthetic cannabis is to the regular stuff (no where near)

Look at the etymology of adrenachrome.

Oh, and also you realise you're breaking the rules of /r/nosleep?

[–]catsaresoft23 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Adrenocheome has been implicated as a possible cause of schizophrenia. Higher levels of it were found in the brains of schizophrenic individuals.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Ehhh. Yea Wikipedia says there could maybe, kinda be a link. But adrenochrome is really just what's in an EpiPen.

[–]JetttAngel 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Exactly, have you heard abt that shortage as of late?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This comment is from 4 years ago lol

[–]JetttAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]GlazzHoppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to put a stop this madness you should teach them how to make adrenochrome from oxidizing epinephrine

[–]Baheyeldinnassar 0 points1 point  (0 children)
