I've been using WD-40 for at least 40 years. I've tried other lubricants but always come back to this one. One thing though, I've always disliked that straw attached to the little piece of tape on the side of the can. Every time I wanted to use it, it had to be attached and then restrung through the tape loop. This Smart Straw version is a great improvement. You can spay a mist when the straw is down and then a stream when it's up. No tape and no hassle. Two thumbs up for a great design.

This stuff has been around for centuries (all right, just many years), and it works to loosen rusted nuts and stuff like that. It also somewhat helps protect metal from rust (like you wipe it on and it will protect the metal from rusting--but so will a light duty oil like 10/30. It's just a good product to have on hand for various potential problems that may arise. The stuff lasts forever if you keep it protected in a shop (or place that doesn't freeze). It comes with a little red straw that can direct the spray into a small area, nice when you don't want to spray a large area with the stuff.

Same great stuff, different appearance. As I get older, the button on these and other spray cans become harder to push, such that I could really benefit from increased leverage. When I first saw these new WD-40 cans, I thought it was an answer to my prayers. When I first used one, I saw the "push: part was over the same position it always always was, with NO leverage improvement . What is the purpose of adding a plastic button assembly if not to improve something???
4 Stars for the can contents, 0 stars for the mechanical design. That button sucks.

The WD-40 is fine. It is the nozzle on these cans that stinks. It might look like a nice idea but it is way too clever for its own good. The tip is easily knocked out of alignment with the nozzle holes while spraying which blocks the opening causing, stoppage, uneven spray, dribbling and making a mess. I can't believe this design made it thru the first round of tests, let alone all the way to market.
