Causes Weak Signals for Analog HD Systems!
I am forced to change my review to one star after upgrading my system to Analog HD. The video signal was fine using these for standard definition analog systems, but they cause issues with any system using 1080P or higher resolution cameras! I tested the camera with a new cable without one of these couplers in the middle, and the picture was perfect. While using these couplers it causes the video to have lines going through it & flickering during the day, and the cameras cycle on and off at night when the IR LED’s try to turn on. I ruled out a low power issue by plugging only the one camera in and unplugging all the rest, still have the same issues while using these couplers. Now I’m forced to buy longer cables and run all new cables to avoid using these couplers! Anyone who’s installed one of these systems knows that’s a lot of work, I’m not looking forward to it!BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT USE THESE COUPLERS WITH A 1080P OR HIGHER RESOLUTION SYSTEM!!!

I used these to connect extra 50ft cables to the 60ft cables that came with my Zmodo camera system. They work great. I didn't notice any quality loss either. It's better to buy them in packs of 10 like this rather than individually because although I don't need 10 of them, it's much cheaper to buy them like this (I paid just under $4 for these) and if I ever do need more someday I have extra ones.

I saw them when I was setting up an eight camera security system for our bowling center. I thought, "I'll never need those" and didn't buy any. Of course, when it came time to do the install, I needed a bunch of them! So, I bought them and they are awesome. For only thirty-some cents each, you should just have them in your tool box. This is a wasted additional purchase for the system. Instead of the manufacture making the cables with one female and male end, they manufacture them with two female ends. However the power side of the cable has a male and female end to them. This item does effectively connect two BNC cables together easily though and is not to hard to connect. The seller ships the item quickly and you should have it in just a few days. The seller has reasonable prices and is quick to respond to your purchase. I would purchase again from this seller.

I bought this at the same time as my Swann SWDVK-825504 system since I did not know how long a cable run I would need to install my cameras. Fortunately, the VideoSecu 150 ft cables were more than enough for my home and able to bridge the distance from camera to DVR.

The Swann system came with 60 ft cables so, I used one of these adaptors on two of these cables just to see if it worked. Then I ran the combined cable from the garage to my living room (with the cable lying on the floor) and connected it to the t.v. to verify functionality. Everything worked as expected.

The 60 ft cable was long enough for the cameras on my first story so, I ended up not using the coupler adapters when I ran the cables through the walls/ceiling.
