    How We Prioritise Feature Requests

We track everything. When you submit your feature request to us, the first thing we do is search our issue boards to see if it’s something that’s been requested before. If it has, your request will get added to the list. If it hasn’t, we add your idea to the backlog so that we can start tracking it.

    Step 1 – Idea Backlog

Any features that are under consideration, as in we’re not sure if this is something we want to add as a feature just yet, get added to our idea backlog. As mentioned, we track everything very closely — so when an idea starts to gain a lot of interest, we review it as a team and decide if it’s something we want to pursue as a feature.

If something does not align with our product goals, it is not going to be a priority for us. If you or your client *REALLY* wants that feature, Jetpack CRM is extendable and developer friendly – and you’re more than welcome to develop your own extension.

    Step 2 – Feature Backlog

A feature request will move from the idea backlog over to the feature backlog when we have seen significant interest from customers and our team agrees that it is in line with our values and product goals. While a request is in the feature backlog, we continue to track requests from customers while waiting for this feature to be prioritized on our product roadmap.

    Step 3 – Product Roadmap

We try really hard to stay focused on our roadmap and not let distractions, however great the ideas may be, take us on time-consuming detours. We use customer data and trends from our feature requests to decide what features will be worked on for that quarter.

Do You Have a Public Roadmap?

We have a Feature Request page which tracks well, what’s next to Jetpack CRM. This covers our medium-term roadmap as well as popular extension requests.

You can up-vote which you want or submit a new request via this page.

    Following Up

Since we do track everything, we are also adamant about following up when new features are released. If you’ve requested a feature for Jetpack CRM, no matter how long ago it may have been, you will hear from us if that feature gets released (as long as you’ve chosen to be notified about updates and are still on the list). 🙂
