The Near Death Experience or NDE is becoming the most talked about phenomenon of the 21st century. For the past 15 years one of my jobs has been to maintain 3 of the top websites on different aspects of consciousness. Near Death Experience Research Foundation (NDERF) studies the near death experience. www.nderf.org We have thousands of people who have submitted their experiences from all over the world. We also have over 250 translators who have translated major portions of the website into over 20 different languages in an ongoing effort to share the message of love, peace and unity with the world.

The other two websites are After Death Communication Research Foundation (ADCRF) where people submit their after death communication experiences for study. www.adcrf.org The Out of Body Research Foundation (OBERF) studies everything else that is not a NDE or an ADC, such as out of body experiences, power of prayer, spiritually transformative events and much more. www.oberf.org

Public service: We help people going through grief, or who are dying or need to cope with a relative in the process of dying. We help people who have had a NDE or other experience to process and integrate the experience with their daily lives. I speak at conferences and about the Near Death Experience, Soulmate relations, and other consciousness experiences. I coordinate the global outreach project that brings media and people together.

I would like to thank Cheri Burdick for her contribution in this book. I know her personally and have been interested in her story for a while. When it was included in this book, I saw the perfect opportunity to become better acquainted with her experience. I started with her story, which is the 8th one, and was drawn into exploring the rest of the book.

It has an intro and conclusion by Jody Long. I appreciated her insights and synopsis of the NDE. Sandwiched between her thoughts are sixteen stories. This allowed me to have good stopping points as I respond to interactive demands of life. I liked the questionnaire format that pulled additional information from the contributors.

I have experienced the loss of loved ones, and I recommend this book for those who seek the comfort of testimony of life beyond the veil. For me, it is also important to better understand the priorities that after-life observations can provide. This book is a good tool in that endeavor.

I recommend this book and, once again, would like to thank Cherie for making me aware of it.

'God's Fingerprints - Impressions of Near Death Experiences' edited by Jody Long of the Near Death Experience Research Foundation (NDERF) and published by White Crow Books presents 16 very personal self-written accounts of moving and life-changing Near Death Experiences. I must admit that I approached the book with some reservations. As a confirmed atheist (who, by the way, studied graduate Theology,is a Minister in the Universal Life Church and who has had an NDE) I tend to avoid texts that ostensibly refer to 'God' as I fear the usual dogmatic evangelism so prevalent in such material. I was however pleasantly surprised. It certainly isn't evangelical at least not in the usual pushy 'We-want-to-save-your-otherwise-eternally-damned-soul' Christian missionary sense. Jody Long is though assuredly committed to 'spreading the word' about and, dare I say, evidence for the veracity of NDE as a genuine experience of the afterlife and while some may argue that she is quite dogmatic in her advocacy of the case for life after death I would contend that the acceptance and publicization of the overwhelming and increasing evidence for soul survival, to which the accounts she presents are but a small though highly signiciant and important contribution, is certainly not dogmatic. Whether you are a firm believer in the afterlife, an open-mind skeptic or a hardened reductionist, 'God's Fingerprints - Impressions of Near Death Experiences' edited by Jody Long is a bold and welcome brushstroke on the canvas of life-changing books. Unreservedly recommended as essential reading.

Thank you for sending me a copy of God’s Fingerprints. I enjoyed reading it very much. After reading the book I reflected on each individuals' experience and came to the same conclusion as you. This is what they saw and the fact that if it does not quite match my experience is irrelevant. Secondly, many find themselves not believing in one church as the path to God. “God is not contained in a temple made out of stone and brick and mortar, but God lives in His people, and the temple of the Lord is in our souls and in our hearts. We are living stones, the apostle writes, “Built up into the house of the Lord” [1 Peter 2:5]. When people ask me about my experience I explain it to them then I tell them to visit the NDE site and to read your book.
Jody you and your husband have been an inspiration to me. I wish you great success and I hope that we can talk from time to time.

I’m somewhat addicted to reading about Near Death Experiences. One of my guilty pleasures is reading the many accounts posted on nderf.org I know, I need to get a life. This book is a compilation of “best of NDE’s”. The stories were compelling, but I would’ve loved it had the publishers spent some time editing the prose. There were too many typos.
