Hi-5 brings song, dance and smiles to PMH patients during Perth tour

CHILDREN’S entertainers Hi-5 made a special visit to a group of seriously ill children at Princess Margaret Hospital on Monday ahead of the band’s Perth performances.

Members of the Australian musical group, who will perform four shows at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco on Tuesday and Wednesday, entertained the kids in the Starlight Express Room, which provides medical-free respite for the sick children and their families when they need it most.

Hi-5, who are Starlight Children’s Foundation ambassadors, sang to and played with the kids in the hopes of brightening their day and bringing cheer to their families.

Member Deyen Zheng said Hi-5 was honoured to share time with the children at PMH, who might not be able to make it along to their shows.

“As Starlight Ambassadors we know the importance of visiting a Starlight Room and sharing our time with the children, Zheng said.

“We have so much fun singing and playing with them and we wish them all the love and luck in the future.”

Starlight Children’s Foundation WA Programs Manager, Emma Cahill said the band, along with the help of Captain Starlight, engaged the kids with an A Cappella concert, painting, board games and even singing lessons.

“Hi-5 are true professionals and everyone had so much fun in the Starlight Express Room,” she said.
